This place has such a good deal for happy hour – every day starting at 3PM. The salmon was delicious. The tuna was not very flavorful. The rice was perfectly proportioned for the sushi. We went around 3PM and it was fairly empty. The sushi came out within 5 minutes of ordering. Fantastic little place for quick sushi at a good price.

This ramen place is AMAZING! the chicken ramen was probably the best ramen flavor I’ve ever had (mild was a very good spice) the Avocado bomb was also delicious.
Pretty solid happy hour menu, the staff was really nice with quick service. And the atmosphere is pretty! We loved that they played authentic music too

I got the godzilla roll and the jalapeño bomb with a Sapporo. Everything was very good, the wait staff was quick and friendly. The restaurant was very clean. Definitely will be back again.

Invited by a client after helping them closing a house. We went to IchiUmi Sushi. I ordered their Chicken Ramen and it was creamy and delicious! I’m looking forward to trying their sushi next time. I’ll be back for sure

This is probably my fav Ramen place in Austin. Most other more popular ramen places in Austin lack quality and consistency, so they typically disappointed me after coming back. This is my fav Austin Ramen place bc they offer chicken ramen ,not just tonkatsu (pork). Soft boiled egg is standard in every bowl. The noodles are the perfect size, not small like other places that need you to order extra noodles to be satisfied. The best part to me is you can make the Ramen spicy any way you want, from low, med, to extra, I went with the medium spicy and it was perfect! My friend is allergic to fish so I did not try the sushi, so I will try next time. The prices are pretty good. Overall, I definitely will be coming back again.
I’ve come back and i really wanted the ramen again bc I think its one of the best in Austin, but i decided to try something else. I went with the beef & onion bowl (Gyūdon) bc i missed having ao much of it on Japan. I thought it may have been a little pricy but I changed my mind after they brought my massive bowl. There was a ton of beef and onion, and the sauce complimented the rice perfectly. Man, it was delicious!!

The food and flavors were fantastic. We ordered crab Rangoon, edamame, and fried calamari appetizers and then Tokyo Ramen, Rice Bowl with chicken teriyaki, and a Bento box with steak. The meat was absolutely unreal. Perfectly cooked and flavored. My daughter got strawberry and said 9/10 (could have been colder – you’ll see it was a little mushy in the pic).

Had a great experience. I know I’m fairly basic but they have excellent California and Crunchy Rolls. It was super easy to order on the app as well, which I like. The server was very attentive and the price was great. Plus Happy Hour on a Saturday!?!??! That was awesome.

IchiUmi has changed ownership several times over the years. Recently, it’s become my son’s favorite ramen place – tonkotsu and noodles. It was also partly because the servers were really nice to him on his birthday. This last time we went, he got his usual ramen, and my wife and I went for the sushi. We picked out 3 rolls and 2 pieces of nigiri. Our friends who came with us ordered a Live Boat. Overall, it was good and quite affordable for sushi. I’ll say that the service was a bit off this time possibly because it seemed like they had one server for all the tables.

If you haven’t been here before. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT! We stopped by here on a whim, and were pleasantly surprised. The appetizers were so flavorful. And our ramen was amazingly good. We opted for the medium spicey. 5 out 5 recommend! And best of all everyone was so kind.

I came in to have dinner with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t sure what the ramen would be like in Austin—Haru is definitely doing it very well. I had a spicy miso ramen with an egg and some added veggies. Bok choy was super lit. It was extremely good, very savory and everything was cooked just right. The broth itself wasn’t too heavy or light, and had a nice creamy texture. I also had an avocado with sauce and chicken gyoza as appetizers. The avocado was good, but not something I’d order again only because it felt and tasted somewhat out of place on the menu. The gyoza was really delicious though. Great ramen spot—everyone in Austin should try this place out!
