Ichiro Sushi & Teriyaki is one of the best Asian restaurant places around! The sushi is always fresh and flavorful, and the teriyaki chicken is tender with a perfect sauce. The portions are big for the price, and the service is always warm and fast. Highly recommend for both dine-in and takeout!

Food is absolutely delicious every time. Spicy teriyaki and angry bird roll are our go to’s. The Ichiro’s crew is always quick and friendly. Also have a great selection of bottled beers (Asahi, Sapporo, kirin)

Every staff member was genuinely warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The service felt sincere, not forced, which made the whole experience even better.

The sushi was incredibly fresh and well-balanced, and the teriyaki had great flavor without being overly sweet or heavy. You can tell they care about quality and consistency. I also like that they offer some Chinese dishes, so there are plenty of options if you’re going with a group.

I’ve tried many sushi and teriyaki spots, and this is honestly the best one I’ve had so far. Definitely coming back.

TL;DR: Disappointing.

A friend was really excited to take me to Ichiro so I was primed to like them. Sadly, what they served was just not good.

The “beef teriyaki” was really sukiyaki/gyudon – wet, steamed beef and onions with some teriyaki flavor. The chicken teriyaki tasted like it had been par-cooked earlier in the day so by the time I got it hot off the grill it was hard, dry, and rubbery.

The salad was good, but I like my dressing heavy and tart, so others may not like that. The calamari was just ok, my companion was not impressed.

The sushi rice was unfortunately hard. Just slightly undercooked – though overall we enjoyed the quality of the fish in both rolls we had. The cuts and the freshness were both great, if not for that undercooked rice.

The interior of the restaurant is cramped and simplistic. It looked like someone tried to break in overnight so the front door was smashed. Meanwhile, the front of the restaurant was overloaded with cases of sodas. The cleanliness was tough to judge because they were so busy.

Service, was the high point. Staff were friend and courteous. They were also incredibly busy with takeout orders.

For the price, which I would consider very expensive, I won’t be back. That wet limp beef was a real low point.

The spicy chicken teriyaki is a delicious dish. Some of the best teriyaki I’ve had in Seattle and I’ve tried just about every spot. The Lion King roll is absolutely delicious as is their baked crab roll. A very nice group of folks running the establishment. The dine in service is fantastic In a cozy setting and they do a great job with takeout as well. Worth coming to Magnolia for or ordering using an app

Food is okay at best.
The young male running the register is obnoxious and rude.
They also charge a fee for ordering through their website.
If you’re going to pay a premium for food do it through an app; have it delivered; skip their attitude; and eat from a place rated above 4.2 stars.

I have had chicken teriyaki MANY times. This is without a doubt the BEST I have ever had. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and tempura combo and asked for the chicken teriyaki to be made spicy. The chicken is tender with a good sear and no defects. The sauce is thick and brimming with flavor. The meal came on a large, pretty plate. Not exactly a date spot without table service (order at counter), but come for good tasty food. Relaxing music. In my happy place now ♥️

Salmon teriyaki is such a delicious everyday delicacy here.
Also very nice spicy chicken teriyaki (I will ask for it spicier next time but otherwise verrrrry enjoyable dish)

In the area for work and just dropped in for a simple lunch. Simple this was not! Great food and large portions. The plate in the pic is about 16” for reference. If I’m ever in the neighborhood again, I’ll definitely come back

I’ve been frequenting Ichiro for 15 years but the long wait times are doing me in. COVID changed this place to 90% take out and it’s just understaffed at the wrong times. If you walk by and no one is in, give it a shot. If you ordered by phone and they said 30 mins, just show up about an hour after you call.
