If you’re anywhere near Bountiful and craving something that actually warms your soul, stop what you’re doing and head straight to Ichiro Ramen House. This place is an absolute gem — the kind of restaurant that makes you forget about every mediocre bowl of ramen you’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, the cozy aroma of simmering broth, sizzling dumplings, and fresh ingredients immediately told me I was in for something special.

Let’s start with the pork dumplings — perfectly pan-seared on the outside with a delicate, juicy filling inside that practically melts when you bite into it. You can tell they’re made fresh because the texture of the wrapper and the savory depth of the filling are spot-on. They’re so good that I’d honestly come here just for a plate of those dumplings and be happy.

Then came the sticky buns, and wow — these deserve their own spotlight. Soft, pillowy, slightly sweet dough that gives way to a rich, savory pork center glazed with that classic Asian BBQ flavor that’s balanced beautifully. It’s comfort food turned into art. Every bite was the perfect combination of sweet, salty, and umami.

Of course, the main event was the ramen, and it absolutely blew me away. The broth was rich and layered, with that slow-cooked depth that only comes from hours of care. The noodles had the perfect chew — springy but not gummy — and soaked up the flavor of the broth just right. The chashu pork was tender enough to break apart with a spoon, and every topping felt intentional, from the marinated egg to the fresh scallions. It’s the kind of ramen that makes you close your eyes for a second because it hits every note: comfort, flavor, and balance.

Service was just as impressive. The staff were warm, genuine, and attentive without hovering. You can feel that family-owned pride in every detail — from how clean and organized the space is to how quickly your order comes out piping hot. They really care about creating a welcoming experience.

I’ve eaten at ramen spots from Denver to Los Angeles to Miami, and Ichiro Ramen House easily holds its own among the best of them. Everything feels crafted with love — no shortcuts, no watered-down flavors, just authentic, well-executed Japanese comfort food. Whether you’re a ramen enthusiast or just someone looking for a great meal, this place is a must-visit.

Ichiro Ramen House isn’t just a restaurant — it’s the kind of local spot that reminds you why food brings people together. I’ll be dreaming about those pork dumplings, sticky buns, and that perfectly seasoned ramen until my next visit. Absolutely 5 stars across the board.

The waiter was so kind when she greeted us and wow the vibe was great. The smell was yummy- think garlic, soy, sesame, and cooking meats. We sat at a table that allowed us to see the chefs cook and it was pretty cool! For the amount of ramen, this place delivers! 16.00 for a BIG bowl of ramen that is not just noodles. The chefs special has egg, scallions, corn, two types of pork, and the choice of the three noodles. There was a few good appetizers but nothing that stood out. The best part was seeing all kinds of people here and treated equal ( families, couples, singles, group of friends)! Will be heading back!

The environment was nice and the waitress was friendly, but the food itself was just okay — nothing really stood out. What really ruined the experience, though, was finding a metal wire inside my tofu dish. That’s definitely not acceptable and made me lose my appetite. I hope they take food safety more seriously in the future because the place has potential, but this was really disappointing.

It’s a super nice vibe with polite stuff, But ultimately it’s just not that good of ramen. It’s. It not a particularly great value and the broth is weak. The spice is also pretty terrible, having basically no spice to it but having a distinct metal flavor to it. That chasu was not even kind of tender. I would go back if a group took me there or if I was just trying to max convenience if I was in bountiful

I ordered the spicy tonkotsu as usual. It was hot and spicy but not the spicy hot that I am accustomed to (like Level 5/5 h&s). The hot oil gave me a slight itch and that was it.
The broth is flavorful. Could use a double bump in the umami department. The thin noodle were just right, tender yet firm to the bite.
The dining area is open and spacious, with bright color scheme and mood lights. Bring a date in yukata and let the sake flow!
If this level of spicy is too much for you, have the hot oil on the side and spoon feed it in. Also have a jar of sour cream handy to stop the burn, the pain.
Long story short: I like it!
