Quaint little Japanese restaurant in Griffintown, warmly decorated and chill vibes. Service is a bit slow but the server is very nice and offers many discounts on drinks. Food is very good in general. Portion size is decent, fish quality is great, price reasonable.

Really good casual Asian restaurant. The vibe is relaxed and the service was quick and friendly. The food was tasty, with generous portions and well-balanced flavors. I had the ramen and a box— both were great, though the ramen broth could’ve had a bit more depth. Still, everything felt fresh and well-made. It’s a solid spot if you’re looking for something flavorful, unpretentious, and reasonably priced. I’d definitely come back.

The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because one time I ordered over the phone, and when I went to pick up the food, it wasn’t what I had ordered. I had to wait another 20 minutes on the spot while they remade it. They fixed it in the end, but the experience was a bit frustrating.

Great shop, the food is regular and the lady at the counter with colourful hair is so dead inside I wanted to leave. She gave me the most “you look like a violent homeless person look”. Could be because I’m black? Not sure. After ordering, I complimented their shop to ease the tension and, with a snarky tone, said “Okay…” .
I ordered two pokebowls with Takoyaki on the side to go for 31$. After 20 minutes I had the bag. Once home, I realize they only gave me 1 pokebowl (small portion) and 4 takoyaki (really small portions). As I eat, I realize my intolerance is acting up and that ONLY HAPPENS when I eat shrimp. I realize that they CROSS CONTAMINATED my food. In 30 minutes, I got treated like shit and scammed like a true tourist trap and in 30 minutes, I’ll be stuck in the bathroom for a couple hours. Never going or ordering there ever again.

We stopped in on a cold, snowy evening Montréal and were warmly welcomed by the hostess/waitress. She was pleasant and outgoing, also at least bi-lingual, French and English. There were a few other patrons, yet we were wrapped in the warm
Atmosphere of the restaurant.
We opted for sushi from the broad menu and there was not a missed step in the simple presentation or delicious items were were provided with. The Salmon sushi was top notch and the tuna was grand. The eel was as close to just right as any sushi experience we have had lately. There was Japanese music on the speakers and a television tuned to a non stop series of presentation on Japanese art, dance and food. That may not be everyone’s cup of tea, yet it was just right here. Like being in a friends living room trading stories and having delicious food and drink.

I’ve been eating at this place biweekly for the past year. The most delicious sushi in town!!! Honestly every piece is made with love and care and theres so much taste. Every roll has its unique taste and some rolls are sooooo creative. When i discovered ichiraku kawaki i stopped going to every open sushi place in the city because their sushi is so mid, there’s no creativity

Run from this restaurant!! Never in my entire life saw a sushi of the size of the tip of my pinky finger. Terrible! The worse in my entire life.
Service as bad as the food. We got at the restaurant, there were literally no one. Food took 40mim to come. 5min after we ordered another table came in (friends with the staff) and they got served before us. Trust me, don’t waste you time and money at this place

Very nice little restaurant that a colleague made me discover.
Having spend 6 month in Japan, I can tell you that the food they serve is close to what you can get in Tokyo (considering what they have at hand here in Montréal).
The food is tasty and well presented.
The staff is very polite and the atmosphere is nice.
Good place to have lunch for a very correct price.
