Came from Port Angeles looking for oysters and just so happened to stumble upon some of the best sushi we’ve ever had and of course some incredible oysters prepared in the “Japanese” way. A little expensive but the quality and service made it worth every dollar. Just found our new favorite place!

Ichikawa Sushi Bar is a great place with fantastic food and excellent service. Caleb, the sushi chef, was talented and prepared beautiful and tasty sushi. It has a comfortable atmosphere, and there’s even a Washitsu (a traditional Japanese-style dining room). A variety of Japanese cuisine is served, along with some modern dishes. It is, however, extremely expensive, expect to pay around $100+ per person.

My husband and I had a great time here. We ate dinner at the bar while Chef Caleb prepared a beautiful assortment of rolls. Chef Caleb is skilled and friendly. I am a vegetarian and had plenty to choose from. My husband ate a wide variety of rolls. Service was friendly. The atmosphere was inviting and sitting at the bar was a plus. The hot tea was delicious and it was a great place for dinner! Items we enjoyed included: fresh oysters (yum!) and for the seafood lover and meat eater: Karaage wings, Ichikawa roll, Dungeness crab roll, Karachi maguro (dungeness was the fave) and for the vegetarian: Kampyo Roll (yum!), Avocado roll and Shojin roll (extra yum!). Highly recommend going! A nice high quality, low pressure meal.

It was tasty. However i don’t know how to describe it, other then it just doesn’t seem like any of the rolls have a “finishing touch”, or “wasn’t made with love”. I had a salmon roll, very tasty however the rice was super warm, and way to much caviar. But a beautiful location and maybe it was just really warm in port Townsend that day.

Great sushi place in Port Townsend. Would definitely recommend. The rolls and sashimi they we ordered were up to spec. Maybe could have been a little bigger in circumference? I’ve had rolls that were a little bigger in circumference. Anyway, the point is: Delicious! Authentic sushi bar!

This place is the best in town, hands down. The sashimi & suhi was fantastic and the seafood soup has me thinking about trying to make it at home – doupe it will be close to this. Sit at the sushi bar and talk to Caleb, he was excellent at sushi making and super fun to talk with.
