Stopping in for the first time while passing through from Atlanta, Ichiban Sushi Asian Bistro was a pleasant surprise—especially for a quick to-go order.
The vegetable stir fry was fresh, colorful, and cooked just right. The vegetables still had a nice bite, the sauce was well-balanced (not overly salty or heavy), and it felt like a wholesome, satisfying dish rather than an afterthought. You can tell care was taken even though it was prepared for takeout, which I always appreciate.
The spring rolls were delicious—crispy on the outside, hot and flavorful on the inside, and clearly made fresh. They traveled well in the to-go container and didn’t lose their crunch, which says a lot. Definitely one of those items you’d order again without hesitation.
The egg drop soup was good overall—comforting and warm—but I did notice a seasoning that stood out a bit too much for my taste. It had a slightly perfumey note that caught me off guard. Not bad enough to ruin the soup, just unexpected. Some people may enjoy that added flavor, but it was the only part of the meal that didn’t fully land for me.
Service deserves a mention: even with my order being to go, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and efficient. For a first-time visit, that goes a long way and leaves a good impression.
All in all, Ichiban Sushi Asian Bistro was a solid stop while passing throughfrom ATL—fresh food, generous portions, and kind service. I’d absolutely stop in again, especially for the vegetable stir fry and spring rolls, and I’m glad I gave it a try.

They only get a 4 stars because of the bathrooms being out of order and open – it was a little weird! Buuuuuuut the restaurant itself was wonderful. The food was good, the drinks were strong, the place was clean, the environment was friendly, and Chole gives amazing service and a strong drink lol.
Now let’s address the other reviews, my first impression of this place 2 years ago was not that great, but giving them another shot was worth it and I sat at the bar solo without my newborn and my former lmao. (We still love that person) And now I love this place lol – I will be returning.

Went Twice so far, got the Hibachi NY steak medium rare, was cooked perfectly & tasted great.
Second time I got the Hibachi Salmon, Skin was crispy & Salmon was good.
Good portions
Both times I also had Maki Salmon avocado, Tuna Avocado & yellowtail scallion rolls.
Was great & fresh with fantastic plating, & was nicely sized pieces.
Only complaint would be the Miso soup, quite salty both times.
I went on a Wednesday night & then a Tuesday afternoon, so I’m not sure how packed it gets on weekends.

We had a wonderful lunch! We got the lobster garden roll, Annapolis roll and surf and turf roll! All three were very delicious and we were stuffed afterwards 🙂 We will absolutely be back for a dinner to try their other menu items. They had a great range of different east asian meals ranging for Cantonese, Thai and Japanese.

When I read the reviews, I was a little nervous, but I’m so glad I gave this place a chance! The food was fantastic—great Asian fusion dishes with so much flavor. I especially loved the sushi; it was super fresh and delicious. The manager and staff were so friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Definitely worth the visit.

My wife and I love sushi and decided to try this spot in our area. I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but the food and service at this location were very disappointing. We ordered hibachi with chicken, the Raven Roll and Annapolis Roll. The rolls were ok, but the chicken and vegetables left much to be desired with a weird after taste.
The service was poor; our server only came to our table to take our order and deliver our food. We had to flag him over just to ask for water and our check. It’s also worth noting that a 17% gratuity is automatically included, which in any other case we typically would have tipped more.

I could kick myself for being in the area for two years and not trying this establishment sooner. I ordered The Shrimp Shumai, a Salmon Roll, Bowie Roll and The “Money Bags”. Which were totally not what I was expecting. Your usual crab ragoon has a distinct taste that I don’t like, the ratio of cream cheese is always overpowering for me- I could never understand why others loved them so much. However after trying these – believe the hype and get them! Everything was flavorful and filling.

My experience was not this best at all. There is always one bad apple. When I first sat down, this particular waitress tossed my napkin, spoon and knife on the table. At that moment I should have removed myself but I said it was a small toss so I won’t make it a big deal. Let’s keep in mind this was my first time there. I ordered the soft carp sushi spices roll. Every sushi is not made the same. Sorry to say, it was too tough for me to swallow! When I attempted to explain, her only responses was, “Everyone likes this and we make everything fresh!” Never did I challenge her that they didn’t make their food fresh. I do know that most sushi rolls are made right there when you are in the restaurant. My apologies, it was not the best for me. She never asked if she could accommodate many any other way! Bad attitude and customer service! I still remained polite and continue with my lunch with an ex-coworker. The waitress went and told all her co-workers that, “I did not like the food and she wasn’t going to give me a refund along with a few other things! As I kept my eye on the other waitress of how attentive she was towards her customers, I said to myself, I should have sat over there. I made sure I gave her (the kind/polite) waitress’s a compliment for her style of professionalism and to keep up with the great service. As for the waitress that waited on us, no thank you! Oh, she didn’t bring water to start, and we had to ask for a bag for leftovers! My recommendation to her is, if you are unhappy at the restaurant find another job and make sure you sign up for Customers Service Class 101 @ 9:00am!

I had a great time here but my date not so much. We arrived late and there was only a few people at the restaurant as it was very close to closing time. I ordered the calamari and she ordered a tea. When she got the green tea it smelled like a rusty pot and it tasted metallic, nothing like classic green tea. My calamari was excellent. We then ordered our entree. She got a sushi bowl salad type thing with some sushi rolls and I got general tap chicken with Jasmine rice. Well again my meal, excellent but gets not so much. One bite into the bowl and she found a nice long thick juicy hair, very healthy, good texture and black. She was obviously disgusted. She asked for a remake but for whatever reason they couldn’t make get another one (I’m guessing because it was closing time). So she ate her 4 shrimp rolls and I ordered her calamari appetizer since she had some of mines and enjoyed it, plus she was still hungry. She really did not enjoy the experience but my experience was decent. The atmosphere on the place was great. It was in a great location.
