Style of cooking is spectacular. The chef puts on a show and gives you a GENEROUS amount of food. I couldn’t believe the portion on my plate. I ate that thang up tho with my sushi on the side. The sushi was so soft and fresh bursting with flavor.

Looking for good Hibachi? You’ve found it!
The service here was excellent. The staff was very friendly, the hibachi chefs here are very talented.
The food portions are great here and will leave you feeling full and most likely needing a take-home container.
I chose this place out of all the other hibachi restaurants in Pittsburgh, simply because of the good reviews.

We went on a Monday so it was slow. Had to wait a little bit for our table to fill up. Our waitress was super friendly and patient as we took some time on the sushi menu. The hibachi chef was very welcoming and skilled. Great show and cooked our food fast. Always a good time.

We had reservations which are highly recommended for a weekend evening.

The service was prompt and attentive. The hibachi was good, but not necessarily the most flamboyant or entertaining in terms of the chef’s interaction with our group of 7.

The seating was cozy and comfortable. The hibachi cooking was cooked well and made to the requested temperature/order for any meats.

If you’re looking for dinner and a high-drama performance, you’ve found it. But seriously, don’t visit this restaurant.

The entire service experience was a masterclass in incompetence. First, they held our party hostage until every last person arrived—a bizarre formality that set the tone. Then, after finally seating us in what was apparently the wrong area, a server took our full order.

That was the cue for the next scene: we were promptly told to move tables mid-transaction. We shuffled our way over, only to have a new, completely confused server arrive minutes later and cheerfully ask us to place our entire order again! It was less service, more a chaotic, memory-testing floor-show.

The food itself? It was solid. Fine. But when you charge premium prices for an experience this disorganized and frankly, insulting, the value proposition collapses completely. You’re paying top dollar for a meal served with a generous side of management failure. Hard pass.

We recently dined at Ichiban Hibachi and Sushi Bar at one of the hibachi tables. The food itself was good—I ordered the chicken dinner, and my wife ordered steak. Her steak was slightly overcooked (ordered medium rare but came out closer to medium-well), but overall, the flavors were solid and the portions generous.

The experience, however, was underwhelming. Our chef was polite but didn’t do any of the fun tricks or showmanship that you typically see at other hibachi restaurants. It seemed to be the same for several other tables nearby as well. The atmosphere was extremely loud, to the point where it was difficult to hear the chef or even my wife sitting next to me. Some other guests were quite loud and disruptive, which really took away from the overall enjoyment.

All things considered, this was an okay meal, but not one I’d go out of my way for. I’d dine here again out of convenience, but I wouldn’t plan a visit in advance.

Our waiter and Chef were kind and very entertaining! Kenny was our Chef and he was both funny and efficient at cooking our meals 🙂

The only downside to this spot is that it can be very busy and that some of the folk can be overly loud and annoying, but hey that’s on them not the restaurant!

Went there on Christmas eve. Left a nice tip. PAYED my bill of 80+ Dollars. Got home and checked my bank account to find out they hit me for a 20% gratuity which I didn’t know about. Won’t go back! So everyone watch out check your bill.

My friends and I always have a great experience here at Ichiban Hibachi. Our chef was quite the showman. I had the Steak & Shrimp, prepared just the way I like it. Comes with rice, lo mein, vegetables…all prepared in front of you. My pic doesn’t show the rice, I start eating as soon as it starts hitting my plate, lol. Nice atmosphere. Just be warned if you don’t bring enough people, you’ll probably be sharing the chef’s performance with other guests…which is ok. Oh, one more thing. I don’t care for the ginger salad dressing, I usually bring my own and they’re usually ok with that.
