Tried out the new Chinese buffet in Barclay Square. Pleasantly surprised with the styling, lighting of the restaurant. Tile floor was beautiful. Service was fast, very courteous and friendly.
I really enjoy a good hibachi grill. This one was good, not great (could do a little better on the vegetable selection). The taste was very good once done. The overall food quality was very good and the cleanliness of the buffet counter was excellent.
I truly hope that management and staff will keep ahead of any customers not respecting the “niceness” of the place.
We will be back…it is definitely repeat worthy!!

An excellent and affordable buffet for those who are truly hungry. The food quality is top-notch, and the abundance of seating ensures you won’t have to wait in line for even a minute. Today was the soft launch for Ichiban Buffet at Barclay Square in Upper Darby! After a long wait and anticipation I would say it’s about what I would expect food wise at a buffet, but it has a beautiful atmosphere for a buffet and the staff is friendly and helpful. The blackened chicken, and the potato’s were my favorite items, but there were more options than I could try on my lunch break. I ended up paying $15 for my lunch. I would love to give it a 4.5 out of 5 but for Google it will have a 4 out of 5.

The seafood here is excellent especially for a buffet. Everything is fresh and perfect seasoning. Not salty. Lots of choices. Very clean and fresh. The space is modern with great lighting and high ceilings. The tables are well spaced and not crowded. It’s a new place and better than the one in Springfield. I think it’s the same ownership. Highly recommend.

I want to start by saying that I understand how important and meaningful tips are to service workers, and I usually make an effort to tip whenever I dine out.Unfortunately, my experience at Ichiban Buffet was disappointing. While the food was okay, the service made us feel very uncomfortable. We were repeatedly rushed while still eating and getting food from the buffet. Our plates were taken even though we were not finished, and a staff member kept walking around our table in a way that made us feel pressured to leave.We were there for less than 40 minutes, and as paying customers at a buffet, we should be allowed to eat at our own pace without feeling rushed.Because of this experience, we did not leave a tip. Afterward, we were given looks that made the situation even more uncomfortable. This was disappointing, as I normally enjoy supporting service workers when the service is respectful.I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves customer service so guests can enjoy their meal in a welcoming environment.

Mr.Ben’d Instant Rice. !!!! They added frozen carrots and peas as if it’s fried rice . Hibachi station is nice but the meat is extremely tough . Good looking place but will not be back . Btw the apple pie taste like they don’t care lol eeeeeyuckk

I enjoy buffets and am open to trying different ones, but my recent experience at this particular buffet was disappointing. While the ambiance was bright, clean, and welcoming, and the staff were polite, knowledgeable, and attentive, the food fell short. The selection was limited, with a small food bar that offered few dishes, and the quality was below average, lacking flavor. One of the crab dishes was particularly unappetizing. Although the salad bar and desserts were decent, they were not enough to redeem the overall experience. Given the negative reviews I had seen prior, I should have been more cautious; this visit confirmed that I will not be dining here again, as I value good and flavorful food.

Me and my wife were eager to try this buffet and couldn’t wait for it to open. We went there for lunch. The food was fresh and delicious especially the general tso’s chicken, fried chicken, ribs, chicken on a stick, string beans and broccoli. My wife tried the sushi which she said she enjoyed. Unfortunately some of the items like the noodle’s, dumplings, fried rice surprisingly lacked seasoning for our taste and the salmon was dry but they had all the usual buffet fair. The staff was friendly (smiles all around) professional and attentive when refilling drinks and removing plates. I didn’t feel rush to leave. I had 3 plates and left a tip. The ambience/seating was similar to a work place cafeteria and the buffet has very bright lighting (which I didn’t particularly like) unlike traditional Chinese buffets I’ve been to. All in all me and my wife did enjoy our time there and look forward to going back. It was very clean and welcoming. It’s located in my neighborhood of Upper Darby so I will definitely give it another try.

This is a beautiful place with gorgeous decor and great food. I had a great time, the food selection is great with a lot of choices and thr staff do their very best to make sure our table is clean and ready for our next plate. They are very attentive and often ask if there is anything they can do to make our experience better.

Service was great. I had Sophia, she was attentive and very friendly. Truly a beauty to have as our waitress.
Atmosphere: looks really nice but the crowd of customers that comes in lets their kids run around on the ground while you’re trying to get your food, unruly kids, horrible.
The food tasted like reheated left overs. Definitely not fresh and the meats like the beef and ribs were ice cold.
If the food was better I may consider coming back because my waitress was AWESOME but I will not waste my money here twice. $100 down the drain. I could of spent $20 more and gone to Royal in South Philly
