I have been eating here since they opened and they never disappoint. The sushi is great and the hibachi is too! The staff is friendly. The owner, Calvin, is a super nice guy. He always remembers me, seems very glad to see me again, and never fails to ask about my daughter. I wouldn’t expect a small town like Springfield to have sushi this good, but yet they do! Great sushi, friendly staff and a hometown feel. If you like sushi, you’ll love Ichiban!

I’ve been coming here for years but haven’t been back in about a year and a half. Today I ordered my usual salmon and added some filet. Both meats were VERY VERY salty. The salmon was almost inedible so I asked if it could be rinsed off and it was returned tasting better. My waitress was busy and did try to accommodate which I appreciated. When I went to pay my bill, I was asked by a short, young girl with long straight black hair how was everything. I told her my meal was salty however before I could explain about the salmon, she quickly rung me up with out saying anything else! Why would you ask me about my meal then? She wasn’t busy and quickly returned to socializing with two young guys that worked there. This made me feel like this place and its help could care less about customer service.
