Ordered a chicken teriyaki for lunch at work, and they placed the fresh salad with the teriyaki. Ideally that would be fine if I was eating it then and there, but I have to reheat it and now I’m stuck eating a soggy salad. They used to always separate it so why the change?

10-13-25 order placed 6:40 pm. Got the food at 6:55 which is excellent time wise. Buy one get one free teriyaki from this very store #27. Burnt to a crisp upon delivery from door dash. Only live 7 minutes away and ordered through door dash to get the buy 1 get one free deal. This is unacceptable. Who in their right mind puts meat so burnt thats its crispy black chicken and sends it out their doors to he delivered for us to eat?? Im definitely going to be reporting this a lot further than just a review.

I had the Homemade Spicy Chicken. It was excellent. The service was fast. I asked the server what was amazing, and I ordered the first thing she said. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and concerned about our experience. The soup that’s there to eat while you wait was fantastic. I don’t know what it was, but it was like homemade chicken noodle soup, without the noodles. Our server said it was made with love. I agree. I wish I had taken a picture to show the beautiful presentation, but I had it half eaten before I thought about it.

Half of the restaurant was closed for construction. Food was mediocre. Mostly rice and salad. Meat was good, but amount wasn’t worth the price. We had to ask for katsu sauce with the katsu chicken. Got yelled at for going through the construction area (that was not closed off in any official manner) to use the bathroom.

Ordered off of DoorDash here and I was actually surprised because the price is really low hence the one dollar sign but the food quality is actually quite high.
Food: I got the yakisoba with chicken and I read the yelp reviews it said that the chicken here was great. They weren’t lying because the chicken was actually quite flavorful and it tasted like any chicken that you get from a gourmet store actually. They actually also give a really good amount of food for the price that you pay and they also give you nice hoisin sauce containers.
Service: The door Dash order was completed in about 20 minutes which is actually quite quick.
This place is really casual and I would come here on like a lunch break probably in the future again.

The service was excellent—especially the skinny man with glasses; he was really surprisingly nice. It was excellent.
Honestly The atmosphere inside was a bit dark and not cozy.

Great spot for lunch or dinner, eat there (no booze) or take home. Always fresh, huge portions. Staff super friendly and willing to work with you whether it’s allergies or just an aversion to veggies like my husband!! So many choices!! Very good!!

I’ve been to the Ichi Teriyaki locations all around the Vancouver metro area, and this is the best one I’ve found. They have the most comprehensive menu and surprisingly decent prices for some of the specials. Even better, the service is phenomenal. The employee who helped me when I was there was one of the friendliest I’ve ever met, and provided quick and fast service.
