Found this place by accident. We were staying in a cabin about 20 mins away. We came for groceries and saw this place. We were not disappointed! They have Giffords ice cream and Perry’s. The portions were big! We got smalls and it was perfect. It was a hit for the whole family. If we are in the area again we will stop by again. We liked that you could drive thru. But this time we went up to the walk up window. The only thing we didn’t like was the benches in the shade by the trees were covered in little green bugs which were then crawling all over us. So skip that area and sit at the tables up by the ice cream stand. Otherwise, great experience.

The absolute best soft serve within a 30 miles radius from my home! I live 25 minutes away, but every time I head north during the summer I try to stop because it’s exceptional. We have a lot of places to pick from in the Bath area, but none compare. Wayland is a close second, but their’s is a little too warm. It’s weird how the fluffier the soft serve gets, the warmer it gets. This place nails it!

Stopped by because of the good reviews, and the stand was just so darn cute! Drive thru or walk up available. I got a 2 scoop cone for just $4. Very generous scoops. Cheap date night, and my peanut butter pie ice cream was everything I wanted it to be.

Drove nearby and had to stop! Delicious Perry’s Ice Cream. As was the other brand (we got black raspberry) that I can’t recall the name. The value for the price was phenomenal!

We love love love the ice cream island in Dansville. We camp at Stony Brook State Park a few times a year and the ice cream island is always a place we frequent when we do. Many great flavors to choose from between perry’s and Gifford’s. Prices make it very family friendly the 3 of us can eat for $10-$12!!! And the portion sizes are huge!!!!!

Excellent ice cream! This is really an island – has a walk up window and a drive up window. Great selection of flavors, hard and soft ice cream, sundaes, floats and shakes. Order a size lower than you think as the portions are very generous. I ordered a large Mexican sundae and it was huge (and delicious). Made with hard ice cream, a very generous amount of fresh, crunchy Spanish peanuts (stale peanuts in a sundae are a pet peeve of mine), chocolate syrup, whipped cream and a cherry. My husband’s black raspberry cone was a medium that would definitely be passing for a large in most ice cream stands. They also serve a nice, right sized doggie sundae. This is worth a stop!

Ice cream Island is a great place. I love that i can drive thru or walk up. The selection is huge and if you aren’t sure about something new, ask for a sample. The owner and staff are very accommodating and pleasant. They even make my special request float with diet soda.
