They’re serving authentic Shanghai flavors with fresh ingredients, refined plating, and all the cozy vibes. Must try dishes include the Golden Crab Fish Rice, Crab Roe Noodles, and the iconic Crab Roe Soup Dumplings. Best part is you can see their dumplings being made fresh in- house so you know they’re a must get! Come on in and enjoy a warm, welcoming space and lively Shanghai dining. They’re a favorite for true Shanghainese cooking for a reason!
Plenty of parking, staff is super nice and attentive, the space is clean and welcoming. We will definitely be back soon!

Had a wonderful dining experience at Fremont Ala Shanghai! We ordered the wok-fried green cabbage, shredded pork and vegetables rice soup, pan-fried dumplings, and the seasonal crab roe soup dumplings — and every dish tasted authentically prepared and full of flavor.
The highlight for me was definitely the crab roe soup dumplings. They were generously filled with roe, and the broth inside was rich and wonderfully warming — perfect comfort food.
Prices are very reasonable for the quality, and there’s plenty of parking, which makes visiting super convenient. There was only one waitress on the floor, and she seemed quite overworked, but she maintained such a positive spirit and was attentive whenever we called on her.
Overall, a satisfying and authentic meal — I’ll definitely be back!

I was looking for the famous Shanghai crab noodle for so long without knowing that it is so close to me. This place serves very good crab roe noodles. Highly recommend. Also, you have to try their xiao long bao. Big and juicy they give you a straw to try. The braised pork belly is so so, try it with white rice for the best flavor.

One of the most authentic Shanghai cuisine in the Bay Area and has been our family’s favorite restaurant in Fremont since they opened. The quality has been consistent and never disappoints. Services are very welcoming which makes you feel like you are eating at someone’s home. My personal favorites are the chicken and soup dumpling. A must try spot!

We had a great experience at iShanghai Delight! The xiao long bao were perfectly steamed with thin, delicate skin and rich, flavorful broth inside — some of the best we’ve had in the area. The mini soup wontons were light, comforting, and packed with flavor, and the pan-fried dumplings had that perfect crispy bottom and juicy filling. Everything came out hot and fresh. Service was friendly and quick, and the restaurant had a nice, cozy atmosphere. Definitely a spot we’ll come back to for authentic Shanghainese comfort food!
