For years we were customers of this restaurant; it was one of our favorites until today. While we were eating, we unfortunately saw cockroaches on the salsa bar and on the plates. Very discreetly, we told the waiters that they should remove all these utensils to prevent anyone else from using them, but they simply ignored us and let the cockroaches continue crawling all over everything. A few minutes later, the “manager” came over and said he would give us a $20 refund. We told him that we didn’t want a refund, that we just wanted them to remove all the utensils because it wasn’t hygienic to leave them there. In a very rude, arrogant, and offensive manner, he said, “Here’s your $20 refund, that solves it,” and turned around and left without even removing the contaminated items.
We work in food establishments ourselves and know that this type of incident is completely UNACCEPTABLE, and even more unacceptable is not taking action to correct the problem. As a recommendation, they shouldn’t put someone in a management position who doesn’t know how to handle these kinds of situations. If the mistake is yours, at least do something to remedy it, instead of acting as if the mistake is the customer’s.

I used to enjoy this place , was one of my favority places . Tonight was the worse day ever we saw at least 4 cockroaches and we told every server and management about the situation, and they reacted like nothing was wrong
Cockroaches were in the salsa bar and in the plates and utensils and the worse part was they didn’t remove anything that was contaminated

The staff at I Luv Hot Pot was great—friendly and fast service. The broth was also very delicious. However, this place has really gone downhill. The food is seriously overpriced for what you get—$3 for just two small pieces of corn is ridiculous. The quality isn’t worth the high prices, especially since everything comes out frozen.
This restaurant would work much better as an all-you-can-eat option for a set price. We spent over $100 for two people and still left hungry because the conveyor belt was missing a lot of food. It really felt like they added sushi to the menu just to cover up the poor selection on the belt. They should stick to making a better hotpot experience. Unfortunately, I can’t see myself coming back unless major improvements are made.

I ate here at least once a year. It drops each year on quality of the food. The beef tendon is old and beef. I should not eat it if it smells bad. Hopefully I will have a different experience next time.

Exquisite spot for hot pot. The taste was luxurious, the service attentive, & the ambience was mellow. Each time we’ve gone it hasn’t been crowded, as it is a large space with plenty of seating. It’s a straight forward system: order your base (soup), pick your ingredients from the conveyor belt. The colors of the plates denote the price. There is a sauce bar with many toppings, but honestly you don’t need to add anything because the base is seasoned to perfection. This is relatively inexpensive compared to other hot pot spots in Duluth. If you go with a group, you save on money because the conveyor belt ingredient plates are large enough to share with others.

Visited during lunch for my daughter’s birthday Friday, January 2nd. They advertise an All You Can Eat lunch special on weekdays that’s available till 4pm. We arrived at 2:45pm expecting to receive the lunch special. We were seated, received our broth, then started partaking of the buffet right before 3pm. We stopped pulling plates from the buffet by 4pm and were finished eating at 430pm. They charged us for every plate individually instead of us receiving the lunch special pricing. What should’ve been $100 ended up being $160 before tip. It’s false advertising to say the special ends at 4pm but then still charge for each plate. One of our group ordered the lemon pepper wings off the menu, they had no seasoning on them. Service was also lacking, server was not very friendly and only stopped by the table once after being seated. Extremely disappointed as this was one of my favorite restaurants and I travel an hour just to eat here.
ORIGINAL 2025 REVIEW: I absolutely love making the trip here for their all you can eat lunch. I love the conveyor belt. I loved the sweet lady working the checkout and serving. Customer service is A+ here. Food is fresh and delicious. I will definitely be back again for a 3rd and 4th time.

I really wanted to enjoy this place. The food was covered, but I did notice a bug on the conveyor belt area, which was concerning. I mentioned it to staff so they were aware. I later saw another review mentioning a cockroach, so I hope the restaurant addresses this. Cleanliness is important, and I’d like to see improvement because I enjoy the cuisine. However due to another review, I will not be returning here. Hopefully they contact someone too clean so they will not make their way on the news.

We stop by whenever we are in Atlanta. It was a big hit with my niece who is a college student up to my Uncle who is in his 70s. We liked that we could pick the items we wanted in our soup. I love rotating sushi bar so to have a rotating hot pot is even better. Lots of items to choose from. You pick the soup base you would like, and it stays hot on your table burner, as the conveyor belt comes around you take off the items you would like. The prices are marked clearly. At the end, you pay based on the color of the plate. I love going with a group so you can try more things.

This was a fun experience with friends. First time being at a restaurant with a conveyor belt. It’s a bit pricey since you pay for the plates you pick up. They were out of some meats but had a nice selection of veggies. I would come back if I’m ever in the area.

I came in during lunch time and ate as usual. However, at the end on our bill, I saw the charge was for AYCE. This was not mentioned to us when we sat down, nor were there any signs inside the restaurant we could see advertising this. What should’ve been only a $30 meal, doubled. I would’ve loved to have taken advantage of this deal, but I guess we were just supposed to know and could not opt out of it. I have been here before and never heard of this deal. Very disappointed since I love this place. But unfortunately I don’t think I can come back because of this.
