This brunch spot definitely gets busy, so expect a bit of a wait if you come during peak hours. The eggs were delicious and had a unique twist of flavor, though it’s worth noting they only serve fried eggs — no omelets or custom preparations. They do offer gluten‑free bread, which is a nice touch for those with dietary needs. There’s an automatic 20% service fee added to every bill, with no exceptions. Food is on the pricey side. Seating is limited, so reservations are recommended for larger parties. Our waitress was a little rude, but she did get all of our orders correct. Overall, the food was good, but the experience wasn’t enough to make me want to return.

I Egg You

If you are in the DC area, you absolutely must try this amazing, one-of-a-kind spot. I Egg You is hands down one of the most unique and flavorful places I’ve been to in Washington, DC. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the energy — it’s fun, welcoming, and different from your typical breakfast or brunch place.

The food is next level. Everything is made fresh, packed with flavor, and presented beautifully. Their egg sandwiches are out of this world — perfectly cooked eggs, creative combinations, and the freshest ingredients all stacked together in a way that just works. Every bite is savory, satisfying, and leaves you wanting more. It’s comfort food elevated to a whole new level.

If you’re in the mood for something indulgent, their loaded options and sides do not disappoint. Crispy, seasoned perfectly, and topped with generous portions that show they truly care about quality and value. And don’t even get me started on the drinks and shakes — the perfect complement to an already incredible meal.

What really sets I Egg You apart is the creativity. This isn’t just breakfast — it’s an experience. The menu has personality, the flavors are bold, and you can tell a lot of thought went into every item. It’s the kind of place you try once and immediately start telling your friends about.

On top of the amazing food, the service is friendly and efficient. The staff makes you feel welcome and appreciated, which just adds to the overall experience. Whether you’re a DC local or just visiting, this place is worth the stop.

If you’re anywhere near Washington, DC, don’t miss out. I Egg You is truly a five-star experience and easily one of the best, most memorable bites in the city. I’ll definitely be back!

If brunch had a love language, it would be deviled eggs — and at I Egg You, they speak it fluently. From the first bite to the last, the deviled egg lineup here is nothing short of egg-cellence (pun absolutely intended).

Let’s start with the classic deviled eggs — creamy, tangy, perfectly seasoned, and a brilliant little kickoff to what the rest of the menu delivers. These deviled eggs aren’t an afterthought — they’re a statement. Silky yolk filling with just the right hit of seasoning makes them dangerously easy to devour in one go.

Then there’s the seasonal lobster deviled egg special, which honestly deserves its own spotlight. Imagine buttery lobster folded into that rich yolk base with a whisper of citrus and herbs — it’s the kind of bold, playful twist that elevates what could’ve been simple bar snacks into brunch royalty. This isn’t just a special. It’s the special that has me scheming my next visit already.

What’s brilliant about I Egg You is how every egg dish — whether it’s these deviled beauties or the cleverly constructed sandwiches and brunch mains — feels deliberate and joyful. No filler, all flavor, and that unapologetic devotion to the humble egg shows in every bite.

If you’re in DC and serious about brunching right, this is a two-thumbs-up, napkin-saving, “I’ll be back for more” kinda place. Deviled eggs here aren’t just a side — they’re a highlight.

Great food but pricy! I had the bulgogi egg scramble dish and my friend had the tofu dish which we both enjoyed. The bulgogi scramble was lacking in the aoli so would recommend a side of the aoli to dip for every bit but the egg scramble was fluffy and rich. Not sure if it should be a 17 dollar dish for what is just a sandwich but it did taste great! The tofu was light and a lovely texture as well. I’ve had the vietnamese egg coffee before and that’s something I might pass on despite the virality, nothing to write home about. Service was good, Tyler was lovely and we appreciated his recommendation of adding candied jalapeños to the tofu dish! The paintings on the wall are pretty and the vibe of the place is sweet for a nice brunch!

This is my number one recommendation for breakfast or even just drink. I typically come with my husband on the weekends and by far my favorite. The food is always amazing and so fresh. The staff is always so sweet and attentive from the host to the servers, the bartenders to even the kitchen staff. I can’t not give a high enough rating. Cindy, Alan,Tyler, Jaleel, Lucy, Mikhail, and Anita thank you for making our experience amazing.

Cute little place in Capitol Hill area. Nice staff.
We ordered: A BLT, a Vietnamese Egg coffee, an affogato and an OMG Loaded.

My BLT with added Avocado was okay. First couple of bites was good until it got a bit overwhelming with the [sweet Aioli] sauce. perhaps it would have been better with a little less sauce; it kind of took a way the clean and savory taste of just simple lettuce, tomatoes and bacon. On the positive note, it has generous amount of bacon slices [4-5].

Vietnamese Egg coffee – I had this in Vietnam and also make this at home … it’s a trendy drink in Hà Nội. Vietnamese coffee is strong and thick, and it is an espresso made from a French drip. With that said, I can check this off as tried it and will not order again. I am certain that the coffee was just regular filtered coffee because it tasted nothing like a dripped espresso, cant taste the condensed milk either neither is the egg.
My hubby said Affogato [ espresso pour over gelato ] was good.
His OMG Loaded was good. But too many potatoes.

Will I come back, yes because it is my first time and there are other dishes that I havent tried … so it’s only fair not to give bad review if I only tried a couple of dishes

Dislike – there’s a 20% service charge automatically added to a bill that is more than $20.00. And on the bottom of the bill there is also a line for tip … we almost double tip until we read the receipt again. Not cool.

Service and food was good! But they really need to give some sides with their sandwich. It’s not really a good value for what it is. Great preparation and staff though!
