We went for the Iftar buffet 4 times already this Ramadan! The food is immaculate and extremely flavorful. The chicken biryani is always so delicious, along with their tender beef and potato dish. Their samosa chaat is the best I’ve ever had! Their gulab jamoon cheesecake and chai are amazing! The beef samosa is my favorite! They had so many different options to choose from. Their prices are decent for all you can eat buffet for just $20, can’t beat that plus everything is halal! The staff are always professional and attentive. The restaurant is always clean! The owner was always friendly and making sure everyone had a great experience! Definitely would recommend 10/10!

This review is for the villa park location, I don’t know why google keeps putting it in the wrong location.

Cozy place for casual hyderabadi fares. Shami paratha is always a hit, haleem, chicken 65 and Biryani are satisfying. Nice portions and reasonable pricing. They only accept cash but do have an ATM.

Visited Chicago and followed a friend’s recommendation to try this spot — and I’m glad I did. If you’re a fan of authentic Hyderabadi flavors, this place is a hidden gem for biryanis and Haleem. I’m giving it a solid 4-star rating, based solely on the quality, taste, and value of the food.

Highlights:
1. Mutton Biryani – Absolutely delicious, aromatic, and rich in flavor. A must-try.
2. Chicken Biryani – Equally impressive; well-balanced spices and generous portions.
3. Haleem – Outstanding. Best enjoyed fresh and hot on-site. Perfect texture and seasoning.
4. Chicken Fry – Packed with flavor but very spicy. I usually handle heat well, but this pushed my limits. Ask about spice levels if you’re sensitive.
5. Chicken 65 – Similar to the Chicken Fry in both spice and intensity; bold and fiery.

Ambience:
Very much in the style of Old City Hyderabad — modest, functional, and focused on food over decor. Not fancy, but well worth it for the flavors.

⚡ Service:
Fast and efficient. Orders come out quickly, even during busy hours.

Important Notes:
• Cash only — no cards accepted. There is an ATM on-site.
• Bring your own water or plan to purchase bottled water there.

Verdict:
Incredible value for money — excellent portions, authentic taste, and very affordable compared to many overhyped restaurants. If you’re in Chicago and craving real Hyderabadi cuisine, this place should be on your list.

Service 5/5
Ambiance 5/5
Food 4/5 (very close to authentic taste but not balanced spices makes it bitter)

Ordered chicken biryani, chicken tandoori, Mutton haleem, sweet pan.
And for someone who eats rice on a daily basis I can say that I the rice I received in the biryani was stale, it was sticky, it smelled, it was just bad extremely bad.
The chicken tandoori smelled bad as well.
They forgot my sweet pan. I am not going to taste the haleem.
The place used to serve really great food but I guess not anymore
Much to my disappointment I just wasted $30 or $40 on stale food.
I should’ve ordered from Nawabi Hyderabadi House at Schaumburg for decent food rather than eating here.
Seriously WHYYYY did I think I need to eat this stale food

Ordered goat haleem, chicken fry, paratha and veg korma. Food was yum! Haleem was good, best haleem i had in usa. Paratha were too soft and very tasty. Veg korma was too good. Pure South Indian food . Chicken fry was mid. Service was good. Got food within 10 min.

I’ve always wanted to try the Hyderabad House restaurant on Devon Street because so many people recommended it to me. I finally got the chance, and it was absolutely amazing! The place is really nice, with options to eat in, and it’s super clean. The food tastes incredible—spicy and just like what you’d find in India. We ordered chicken biryani, butter naans with curry, and it was all fantastic! The only letdown was the desserts, which didn’t seem fresh. The prices are a little high, but the food is definitely worth it. Interestingly, there are two Hyderabad House spots on Devon Street—one offers both dine-in and takeout, and the other is just for takeout, and they’re right across the street from each other. If you’re on Devon Street, you really should check out this restaurant!

Loved the food here. Ordered mutton biryani and Haleem. Both were great. I’d highly recommend this place for Hyderabad food if you are in and around Chicago. Had paan and that was great too.
