I used to love this place, but we won’t be back. The place was dead, but our table was sticky. Eight adults in our group, all ordered meals, but the restaurant manager wouldn’t let me bring my 86-year-old mother’s homemade birthday cake inside, because I didn’t buy it from HyVee. I’ve done this at other restaurants without a problem. Going forward, I guess we’ll take the party elsewhere.

I’m writing this review as I still sit here waiting for my check, being ignored by all the staff, my waitress nowhere to be seen. The last I saw her was when she asked how our food was, to which my husband replied “okay”, and she walked away without a word. To say the food was okay is extremely generous. We hardly ate it. We have eaten here before and loved it but I will tell anyone who asks to avoid it after today’s experience.
