Went here for the first time today. My meal was good but my wife ordered a medium ribeye steak sandwich. What she got was rare steak when she ordered a medium steak. Look at the picture. Yes the red part is the steak!! Even consulted with the waitress and they said it was medium. I would hate to see a rare steak.

Amazing ribs on a Saturday specials menu. Well worth the money. Half rack, excellent hand cut fries and cole slaw. Side of grits with cheese and a nice house salad. Blue Moon on tap. All great. The dining room and bar are pretty small. Outside seating in the right weather might be a good choice. Server was excellent, very helpful and sweet. Nothing fancy here but all the food we saw looked good. Lots of choices on the menu.

Update; Our 2nd visit, we stopped in w party of 5, with out of town guests. Chef came out to check on a dietary restriction, (Vegan- accommodated well) then again to check on guests. A nice hometown feel. The food, once again was great. The portion size of the meals are very good. (we had take-home containers as well.) The birthday guy’s meal was free. The new server introduced herself ‘new’, asked for patience but handled our table well. (She did a great job) Thank you for recognizing our birthday guy and making it a bit more special! We’ll be back ; )
Great food. One of the best small town vibe restaurant. Four of us stopped in, it wasn’t busy on a rainy weekday night. The staff were friendly and tried to be accommodating. I knew there wouldn’t be much available for a vegan, (me) but the rest of my crew were not, and I was looking for an experience for them. They were very pleased with the food. They had been to several NMB, MB restaurants since we moved here 4 months ago. This was their new #1 restaurant for them. The homecooked style won them over. I had a salad minus cheese and asparagus. There isnt enough offered as a vegan meal but they provided a nice plate. I’m not docking for not having ‘vegan’ options since they are not that type of restaurant, though I hope in the future, an option can be made available (some grilled tofu would’ve been great or a steamed veggie dish). They do what they do very well. Since we are close by, I’ll be back to bring the family.
Parking in rear, be careful of uneven/large holes in mud lot.

Blackened mahi-mahi was really good but I felt like the side dishes were on the small side and hastily made. In hindsight I probably should have requested an upgrade. The cheesy grits went down easy and I’m sure I could’ve eaten more. Had a bit of sticker shock as we did eat early in the afternoon and expected lower prices. Chairs and tables were a bit wobbly as over all the decor was very informal.

First time here as a local, really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive even though she was swamped with people coming in for the dinner rush! I had the mussels and fried tenders and my friend had the fried green tomatoes and grilled tenders. Everything was delicious and we will be back!

Well managed and well staffed. Food is always well prepared and the staff is accommodating. The locals of longs and loris hang out here and it is a great place to make friends if new to the area. The prices are the best in this area and we will always be regulars here

My partner and I have been coming here for quite sometime and I just have to say the food to the staff to the atmosphere is beyond amazing. Yes the place is very “hole in the wall” but the food and the prices are amazing! I have not had one bad meal from here! Their happy hours and specials throughout the week are amazing! We will definitely be coming for brunch soon! And go see Bri at the bar! We have been coming to HWY 9 since she started there and she definitely knows what she’s doing! Hands down the BEST little hole in the wall around!

Our experience was fantastic. Norri was very personable and attentive. She had insights on the menu, and made our experience friendly instead of just another tab. I had the grilled mahi mahi, which came out fresh and flavorful. My husband had the steak, which was cooked properly and very tender. Definitely recommend and will be back again.
