I stopped in for business and left a customer. I got a pimento cheeseburger with bacon and I could barely finish it. These things a delicious and massive. Came with a large drink and tater tots or fries. Service is friendly and it is well worth the stop. The cheesesteaks were enticing so next time I am going for one of those.

Went here for lunch with my lovely wife. Worst burger I have ever put in my mouth. Asked for grilled onions, mushrooms and peppers didn’t see any. Meat was dry and tasted terrible. My beautiful wife got a cheesesteak that was decent. Staff was friendly I didn’t complain to them about the food I just will never be back in this establishment ever not for any reason whatsoever.

Well, to start, the drinks were pretty good. My mother-in-law and I went to this location and I had heard some good things about it from my best friend. We pulled into the drive through and I ordered the barbecue burger with the giant onion ring in it. My mother-in-law ordered a hot dog. We spent nearly $20 on the order. The food took about five or so minutes to get and when we did receive our order, we ate in the parking lot. She opened her little boxed up hot dog and it look like a fake hotdog with a slice of Texas toast that was folded over. The French fries I got with my burger weren’t warm and very bland. The burger I received didn’t have much flavoring to it at all and the onion ring was so small that the picture of the burger was 3x the onion ring. We were really disappointed and are not recommending this location to anyone.

We had been anticipating Hwy 55 opening for MONTHS as we watched it go up during construction and we had looked into the company, based in North Carolina. Well…..hopefully they will improve soon.
My husband and I ate a late lunch there today, October 11th, 2022 at around 4:00 p.m. They had the drive-thru blocked with a pickup truck parked backwards in it. Odd…….but we had planned to go inside anyway. This is an order at your table with a waitress type establishment, and we noticed that, while most of the tables were empty when we entered, at least three tables needed to be bused or wiped down, but they just opened, so giving them some leeway.
I ordered the small Philly cheese steak with tater tots and my husband got the double cheeseburger with onion rings. We were served pretty quickly in small paper lined baskets. It all looked good, at first. As we dove in we realized that both my tater tots and my husband’s onion rings where very overcooked. My tots were terribly overcooked and I could taste the oil so badly I could only eat 3 or 4 of them and left the other 25 or so. I also asked for ranch as a dip and I was brought fat free ranch which has no business being given out as a dip at a burger place. It actually made the tots worse.
My cheesesteak, while tasty, was horribly greasy. I own a diner where we serve cheesesteak and I am not certain how in the world they managed to make it greasy, but it was dripping. My husband’s burger also had an issue. He found a small bone in his meat. We have experienced this with other local burger places in the Shoals area, so we figured it’s a supplier issue. Something they should really look into. His burger was also overdone, and they charged us $0.35 extra for adding onions!
Other major issues we observed while we were there
– the floor was greasy, looked like it had not been mopped in a week
– our waitress never once came back and checked on us, in fact we had to hunt her down to get our check and my husband actually had to walk over to the counter to get her attention because she refused to even look in our direction. We were there for 45 minutes
– the ladies bathroom had a puddle of hand soap on the floor under the sink that ran into the bathroom stall next to it
– but the absolute worst thing that we observed was when my husband went to the men’s room. One of the cooks was in there with him. He observed that cook was coming out of the stall as my husband went in, and he went right back out to the kitchen to cook WITHOUT washing his hands!!!!
We also did not see anyone who stood out as a manager and it appeared to be totally staffed by kids, 22 or younger. For a burger and onion rings, 1/2 cheesesteak and tots, a sweet tea and a water, it was over $26, plus we tip. We might give Hwy 55 another shot, if they are still open a year from now.

My first time here, I got fried pickles, fried shrimp and onion rings. I was craving a burger but, decided on shrimp. The shrimp was stuck together when fried and it was doughey. Fried pickles were over cooked and the onions weren’t anything to write home about. Maybe I didn’t order the right thing. I will give them another try.

Came here on lunch with a group after waiting weeks to eat here. We came in and sat down and were told someone would be right with us. We sat there for about 12 minutes, watching the waitress serve every single table around us but ours. We asked again if someone would be at our table, and we’re told we would have our orders taken soon, but after 5 more minutes of being ignored we decided to go to the takeout counter and order our food. It came out and was sub par at best. Soggy burger, bland cheesesteak, cold fries. We were still never approached for refills or any kind of service. Everyone working seems like the kind of person that’s been fired from everywhere else in town. Will not come back here, and will tell everyone that asks to avoid Hwy 55.

I decided to go here because I wanted something inexpensive and unhealthy. Service was super friendly but the food was not great. I spent well over $12 for half of a cheesesteak sandwich, onion rings and a tiny drink. In all fairness, the onion rings were good but the overall serving size was tiny. The price was astronomical.

Ok good service & the food is ok. Although the fries had no salt I won’t make a big deal over it. I’ll just be sure to ask for salted fries next time. Burger was fine. However the lemonade which is my ALL-TIME favorite drink to consume tasted like water with just a hint of lemon and a sprinkle of Splenda. I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say it wasn’t their best of nights. Hopefully the next time I stop in the fries nor the lemonade won’t taste bland.
