The atmosphere was awesome, they had this old time music playing and some cool pictures hanging on the walls. Our waitress was as friendly as can be. The food was really good as well. When my brother asked for a really well done burger they definitely gave him one. Glad we stopped by.

Excellent food, great prices, and outstanding service. The bathrooms are new, clean, and well maintained as well. Staff is super professional and friendly. Atmosphere is reminiscent of the old school diners of the past. . What more can you ask for? If you are in the area, drop by and fill up before hitting the road again.

First time in. I ordered to go:
Cheeseburger and onion rings and burger kids meal with tots.
We ordered a chocolate and Strawberry shake.
I sat by register waiting for my food.
The employees taking food orders several where talking smack about employees and customers. Not good.
It was 30 minute drive home with food.
We had our dogs with us.
Got home and onion rings were barely cooked..they were white. Tots undercooked and mushed.

Burgers were good and enjoyed them.
The shakes were so frozen we couldn’t drink till we got home. But we’re delicious!
Paid 34.00 with tip.
Mixed bag for Hwy 55.

New burger restaurant in the area, food was very good and delicious. Nicole, our waitress was not as good. She literally only took our order and never made eye contact afterward. However, Tara, who was waiting on everyone, was fantastic. And I hope this restaurant recognizes her hard work. Because she literally was the only one truly attending to everyone in the who restaurant. Tara had a smile on her face and truly appeared to be enjoying her job. She even took a to go order for us, so I made sure I could tip her for her service. Overall, I gave the restaurant a 4 star review, which I know they can work up to a 5 once they work out the kinks of their operation. The community is very excited to have another delicious restaurant to choose from. We will definitely be back to give them a try.
FYI. It is a sit-down restaurant. Sit yourself. A sign might be useful to let people know this. Staff was too busy when we got there to advise us of this. We were at the register looking at the menu, waiting to order, when finally Tara nicely came over and told us our options. After 5 or 6 other staff members had already passed by us, yet she is the only one who actually took action. Thank you, Tara, for your great service. If it wasn’t for her, I believe my rating would have been a 2.

We love trying new places, whole in the wall is the best type of place, to us. Family of 5 with tip was $75. We left stuffed! Double burger, single burger with onion straws, tots, chicken finger platter, 2 salads, Cobb & shrimp.

All the food was delicious! 10/10

So; my wife and I have been hearing about this place and couldn’t wait to go to one and try. We have a Highway 55 that’s supposed to open down the road from us in Jacksonville just don’t know when.
We were traveling on I-10 in Live Oak today and saw they had one there and decided to try it for lunch.
I hate to say this but we both were very disappointed in the food and shakes!!!
I ordered a hamburger must have missed it about chili being on it. I didn’t like it and the only reason I continued to eat was $13.00 or so for the burger. The fries were good though. I ordered the vanilla milkshake and it was disappointing as well! It tasted like a powdered shake and watery.
My wife got the pimento cheese hamburger and she said it was good and would get it again. She didn’t like the milkshake either.
The good thing was our waitress was very nice and friendly.
Service was fast.
Restaurant was clean.
If this is the food standard at Highway 55 don’t think we will go to the new one in Jacksonville when they open.

The food was just ok. The bun on my burger was soggy. I asked for tots with my order, but got French fries. I ordered a mint chocolate chip milkshake, but they said they didn’t have that kind of shake, but it’s on their menu. I got a rootbeer float, and the ice cream was completely melted and watery. I wasn’t impressed at all. Hopefully, when their open longer, they’ll get better. It was also pricey for fast food.

Honest opinion is a new place we stopped today for lunch it wasn’t bad food came quick our waiter was good they may need some improvements like the bread to burger ratio burger look thin in comparison to the bread it was my girl ordered she didn’t like the fries at all I didn’t try them my chicken Philly was good a bit on the salty side for my taste the bread definitely needs to be toasted it was soggy and the onion rings were good.
There is definitely room for improvement

First visit and was impressed with facility, staff, and food. Reminded me of a cross between Huddle House and Steak and Shake. Really nice atmosphere and food was good. 5 $$

I dined in Friday 6/7/24 during lunch. Firstly let me say this is a waited sit and dine restaurant (I was under the assumption it was just another fastfood restaurant). I had the Americana (single patty) with onion rings as a side. I also added highway sauce to my burger. The toppings were fresh and crisp. It costs a little more than fast food, but the burger didn’t taste like a fast food burger. I really enjoyed the burger. The onion rings were also pretty good. I saw another person’s order of tots and they looked good (I’ll be trying them next time).
