I went there to order was rushed while ordering no one was behind me … and I payed 23 dollars for two sandwiches that the egg on it you can barely see and home fries that had to be sitting on the grill half the day onions were black and they had to be mixed with new and old potatoes… I use to love this spot went down hill … waste of money

12-5-23 Do yourself a favor and skip this place. I was underwhelmed! The menus are taped to the walls. I ordered chocolate with whip cream which was served in a styrofoam cup. When I asked for an actual mug/cup the server complained making some excuse about Covid while taking the cup back so I decided to just keep the styrofoam cup. I ordered an Omelete which arrived burned. The eggs were brown all over! AJ eggs should still remain yellow when cooked properly. Even Omelettes. I refused to consume that mess. The toast was served to me in saran wrap. If I wanted take out food I would have asked for take-out. This environment felt more like a corner store that sells food instead of an actual restaurant type establishment. I did not feel welcome or that the place wanted people to dine in. Again, I do not recommend AJ’s on Ogontz Ave. in Philadelphia, PA located in a strip mall across Cheltenham Mall..

Blueberry pancakes were good but the berries were bitter. Eggs were delicious. Pork sausage links were tasty but very crispy on the outside

The food was halfway decent. The attitude from the staff of a tall, thin Asian lady I witnessed towards a waiting customer was terrible. The waitress was apparently late for work and therefore that is why my son and I had to wait to get our food (that’s what the waitress told me). It was luke warm, and the only time she checked on us was to see if we were ready for the check and offer a small to go box. I won’t be back. 25 bucks for what we ordered. Ehhh. It’s a straight up no for me on this diner.
