A friend and I stopped by this restaurant last night for dinner. I haven’t been to this restaurant in years because they’re good is over priced and not that great. But last night, I decided to give it another chance. Our waitress was nice enough and did a good job, but after ordering our food, we regretted stopping in. The “cooks” were two silly girls that were so loud, they drew much attention to themselves and seemed that they didn’t take their job too seriously. One of them had really long hair that was not pulled back enough, in my opinion. My friend and I both ordered two hot dogs all the way. When our food arrived, the slaw was somewhat on the hot dog, but the chili looked like they took a small spoon full and plopped it in the middle of the hot dog, half on the dog and half on the bread. If I had a utensil of any sort, I would have spread it out myself, but I didn’t! The restaurant itself was a mess. Many of the tables were not wiped down sufficiently enough. One of the stools at the bar had slaw on the seat that no one bothered to clean up. The lemon squeezer to make lemonade was left uncleaned with used lemons laying beside it, and no, they weren’t so busy that they left it until they could get to it. There were only four tables of customers in the restaurant, 2 or 3 waitresses, and 2 cooks. They definitely had the time to clean their restaurant while their costumers were cared for and eating. Someone needs to do a better job at managing this restaurant. I’m surprised it hasn’t been shut down yet. I will never eat here again!

After waiting at another location for food for 45 minutes and not getting service, left and found This Jewel! The young lady named Teresa and the crew immediately welcomed me and my family; they had all these great Christmas decorations and carols playing and they were so happy it was such a great environment. Not to mention those fresh lemonades and shakes. The best part? I wasn’t sitting there 45 plus minutes. They had us in and out. Great Service.

Service was not friendly at all. The tater tots were cooked well and crispy the way I like. Not the highway 55 burgers I have experienced before. My daughter had a burger and I had the cheese steak pretty sub par from what I’ve had in the past.

The food was delicious but the waitress was the sweetest ever. She spoke to you like she’d known you all her life. She made a point of using names if she knew them. Super nice young lady.
We got shakes before leaving and sat at the bar to enjoy….great shakes! Mine was brownie bites…would get again!

Hwy 55 is an amazing find. They do it all with the friendliest staff. The food is amazing, and the manager is doing a great job. Ally, Alex , and Makayla are very friendly servers and Travis and Grace make cooking at high volume look easy .

The food here isn’t very good (stale fries, not a lot of flavor in the meal). However the people working were some of the nicest people I’ve interacted with, esp. at a restaurant that’s basically fast food. Milkshakes are good.

The waitress we had was terrible she took our order gave us our food and left us there at the table. Did not check on us until after we said something to her about tending to her other tables and not ours. I would not go back, service was terrible. I still left a little tip though

I came in today for dinner and got the chicken tenders and fries from Hwy 55, and they did not miss! The tenders were crispy, juicy, and seasoned just right, paired with golden fries that hit the spot & I definitely like the BBQ sauce with the tenders .

I’ve only eaten at Hwy 55 a few times collectively as I don’t live near one. Even this one is a 30 minute minimum drive out. But every time, it’s been solid with nothing to complain about. I can’t speak for their shakrs, but Great burgers and fries. Even got a pretty good cheesesteak, too. Worth an occasional stop.

Been coming to the Greensboro location for years and getting cheese steak. Today after being out of town months came in and the cheese steak was half the size. Will not be back.
