Great atmosphere and service. Overall food was very good. Cauliflower bites were very bland. Definitely needs a dipping sauce. Fish and chips was very good. Not sure if restaurant does not have lemon but asked twice for my fish and my drink and never got it. Haddock always needs lemon ♂️
Special drink of the day was strawberry Hugo spritz….EXCELLENT!

Hurricane restaurant has a large attractive old-fashioned bar with several high tops good for drinks and or eats and opens up into a very classic classy seaside restaurant. The seafood stew containing an entire half lobster along with shrimp, mussels, clams, and scallops in a fabulous Mediterranean broth was tremendous. The porterhouse pork shop with chutney on a bit of mashed potatoes with great kill. Chips was very good. The prices were appropriate. The service was mediocre as our waitress spent all of our time at a six top table next to us with 4×2 pound lobsters and open bottles of wine, so we assumed would make a bigger tip. Will definitely go back for their extensive menu and excellent food and hope for better service.

We had a party of 6 that met here on a September afternoon. Our server, Vicky, was super. She showed up when needed without bothering us. All of our meals were perfect and our seat on the deck overlooking the river had a beautiful view. My fish and chips was as good as any ever.
Parking can be a real issue in Kennebunkport, especially on the weekend. Grab a spot at one of the public lots and enjoy a stroll to the restaurant.

We stumbled on this restaurant today while visiting Kennebunkport. What a wonderful, delicious find. I had the 5 onion soup and my husband enjoyed eggs Benedict with hash. I finished with pistachio crime brûlée. All was excellent the French onion soup was so good and the crème brûlée along with all our food was beautifully presented. Go to this restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

Grouper was very good. Caesar salad would have benefited from shaved Parmesan instead of crumbled. The blueberry cobbler is normally served with vanilla ice cream but we got it without.

Good atmosphere, slow but good service, small portions considering price, taste of food good. Imo salmon was undercooked.

I visit Kennebunkport often. After seeing a long line at one of my usual spots. We took a walk and was able to get into the Hurricane. WOW! How is it Ive never been here before? I just found my new favorite place, WITH a water view. The food was incredible. The service was even better. Even on a very busy day. We were suggested:
a banana expresso martini? OH YEAH. Followed by some very good fish chowder, oysters rockefeller, clams casino, smash burger, chicken sandwich and a blackened fish sandwich. We shared it all as everyone raved their meal was better. I cant wait to go back and try some more.

Finally had the pleasure of dining at Hurricane–not once, but twice–on my recent trip to Kennebunkport. All of the food was delicious and the staff was exceptional! We went for dinner the first time and were lucky enough to be able to catch brunch on our way out of town on Sunday.
The wine and food recommendations were superb. For dinner we had one of their most popular dishes, the Pan-Roasted Statler Chicken, and we also opted for one of their specials, the Monkfish, as one of the other patrons was raving about it, stating that it was his favorite dish and the perfect cross between swordfish and scallops. Both were outstanding.
For dessert we had the Crème Brûlée and the Butterscotch Chocolate Hurricane. The Crème Brûlée had the most perfect caramelized sugar top and the butterscotch mousse was *chef’s kiss.*
Our visit for brunch was also excellent, and in the daytime we got to appreciate the water views in the heart of the town. Beautiful presentation for all of the dishes and I ate every last bite of my Lobster Eggs Benedict. I also have to point out that the blueberry jam is the best I’ve ever had!
Overall, the perfect authentic New England restaurant experience. We found the prices extremely reasonable given the quality of the food; definitely the best for the price in the area. And location cannot be beat! We will certainly be back on our next trip!

Had an amazing dinner here while on vacation, one of the best in my life! We got the duck liver pate, clams casino, chicken breast with orzo and asparagus, and the catch of the day (tuna over pea risotto with carrot puree). All of it was perfectly cooked and well seasoned, and the clams casino tasted super fresh and used whole clams, which I love. My partner said the tuna melted in their mouth, and they loved the duck liver pate spread, lots of strong flavors but paired perfectly! All the food, plus 3 equally delicious cocktails, and tip came out to ~$175, definitely worth it for such a fantastic meal. Can’t wait to come back!

A great dinner or at all Hurricanes last night with friends. The staff was exceptional from the moment we walked in the door. Vickie was our waitress and she was awesome, made great recommendations and was attentive without hovering over us.
The cocktails were great and the meals were well prepared and delicious.
The desserts were fantastic !!
As for the atmosphere, very nice, but the tables were close which added to the increased level of conversation and noise in the room, which at times made it difficult to have a conversation at our table.
All in all a great experience, we’ll return for sure
