Quaint wing place directly on the water in Tavares. Great for groups or by yourself at the beautiful tiki bar. Come by boat, there’s a dock to tie up to and they are dog friendly!! Friendly staff and a great value on wings, fish dip, and seafood. Plan on staying awhile to enjoy the relaxed river atmosphere.

I just received a promotion at work so my husband and I came here for a celebratory lunch. Service was not great at all. The one who had the most Customer Service skills was the host so on our way out the door we tipped her five dollars. The server we didn’t tip at all because she had no Customer Service skills at all. She came and took our drink order And then came back to give us our drinks so I took our food order. The only other time we saw her was when she dropped off the appetizers and when she dropped off our entrées. My Husband sat waiting for 5 to 7 minutes for a refill in his drink to where we finally slid the cup to the end of the table, and she checked out another table and still didn’t even bother to notice that he needed a refill.
It wasn’t until we asked to speak to the manager that she came over right away and asked if he needed a refill and if I wanted a cup for my drink to go. That was the only time she ever offered us any service because she realized uh-oh, I might be in trouble. The manager apologized, but didn’t really seem too empathetic about the ordeal. She just seemed more or less like OK let me just apologize so I can get them out of here. we got our to go boxes and they couldn’t even offer us a bag until we stopped and asked the hostess, who was very friendly and gave us a bag to carry our to go boxes in. The only reason they’re getting a two star rating is because the food was good. Needless to say, we won’t be back again.

This restaurant has gone downhill we waited over 20 minutes to get a menu. we moved to the bar for faster service because there was no service out at the tables. and then after we ordered, it took 45 minutes to get our food and then when we got our food, it was barely even warm. I had a chili bowl. with onions and cheese and crackers my friend I was with got a chicken burger and fries. He said the fries were cold. The burger was barely warm. that is not good. I see them going out the door like Bahama breeze. The waitresses were doing the cleaning off the tables when it’s not really their job they had nobody no bus boy cleaning tables and this was at lunchtime no manager coming around is your food OK? Is it hot? Is it prepared the way you like it? Nothing nobody cared. They were completely short on Help. We could tell when we sat there for a while that this was not good and yet we drove a long ways to get there but I won’t be back. I will not recommend it to my friends go somewhere else. The owner should be there seeing what’s going on, but I can see that’s not an owner that appreciates the people that come there I’m just posting this for people to know it’s really a crappy place that’s gone downhill.

Dock side dining, indoor/ outdoor seating. Nice vibe with good service. 99 cents chicken wings on Sunday’s was really good, 30 different sauces to choose from, mild to super hot and everything in-between. Plenty of seating at the teki bar and all over the place,and large screen TVs all over the place. Oh yeah Plenty of dock space for diners from Lake Eustis or Lake Dora. So you can dock and dine. Outside dining is also pet friendly. Making for a real friendly atmosphere. We found it to be budget friendly too. So enjoy your visit in Tavares and stop off at the Hurricane for some good eats

This restaurant and bar was the perfect lunch spot for us. We wanted casual with an eclectic seafood menu. The food was fresh and served quickly. The view was beautiful. We will definitely be back!

Peel and eat shrimp was really good. The cocktail sauce is very spicy. The snapper was good. You don’t want to have their fried pickles if you don’t like a cornmeal breading and not much pickle and you also don’t want to go for their coleslaw sweet potato fries were good mahi was good

The food was good. Service was good. It was nice sitting on the lanai outside. I had the snapper it was very good. The coleslaw was not nor were the fried pickles. One of our group had the mahi-mahi it was good. So were the jumbo shrimp.

Driven past here many times, but finally had the opportunity to join others for this experience.
Wasn’t busy during our visit and had the option to eat inside or out on the patio. The view of nature in this location is a big bonus.
Waitress was attentive and friendly.
Fried pickles were delicious, along with the fish and chips. Food was great, but was let down by the coleslaw (bland and flavorless). Asked an employee about it and was given the response of “it’s hit or miss.” As it was included with the meal, it’s not a big deal, but you should be aware just in case.
Would return in the future and try other menu items.
