i love their bun bo hue , so tasty everytime

new edit: i am their reg customer but today truly disappointed me
i was eating as usual n found something was in my soup, it wasn’t chewable n i was looking at it n picking at it- it looked like those dust been collected in the vacuum or you’d find those lint after you dried your clothes in the dryer… i also told the lady bout it- n she js said sorry. if it was other restaurant, they’d offer discount or refund tbh. we still tip as always but probably not going back there again

not to mention, their pork hog today was very hard to chew, couldn’t eat it :(((

Small restaurant serving up authentic Vietnamese flavours. Tried their best seller Bun Bo hue(spicy broth) and it lived up to the hype.
Loved the spice lvl and lemongrass flavour.
I ordered with pork blood and hock and this was my first time trying them and i loved it.
i will come back to try other dishes on the menu soon.

Amazing hole in the wall Viet Restaurant!

The Bon bo Hue here is excellent with generous portions of protein. The large sizes here are huge and priced well!

The interior is clean, brightly lit and spacious. There’s also plenty of free parking. The customer service here is also amazing!

Will definitely come back here to try the house special next time!

Tasty authentic Vietnamese food. I love their Bun Bo Hue. I’ve taken my aunts and uncles, who were visiting from Vietnam, to this restaurant for Bun Bo Hue and every one of them have been impressed with the flavour of this dish. Highly recommend!

Review from Canadian-born Asian Guy eating his way through the Vietnamese restaurants in the Lower Mainland.

I eat a lot of Bun Bo Hue. It’s my go-to order at most restaurants that offer it. I’ve heard that Huong Viet does a pretty mean bowl so I was excited to try it.
I’m going straight to the point and saying that this is one of the better bowls that I’ve had in awhile and will place it in my top 3. The combination of the flavourful broth, the ingredients included and the wallet friendly price makes this a winner.
Expect to see cuts of brisket, Vietnamese ham, pork ball, pork hock and a cube of pork blood. If you don’t like the latter you can ask them to exclude the blood from your order.
I apologize I didn’t take a picture because I was too busy devouring it. I will update with a picture the next time I come back.
**Note: they are closed till late this month as they’re on vacation. Better to call first before visiting to make sure they’re back.

Bun bo hue is okay – there are better tasting ones in the lower mainland. The spring rolls were disappointing – barely fried. The wrap wasn’t crispy – such a simple dish to get wrong. Won’t be returning.

I ordered the lemongrass chicken with spring roll and husband ordered the 3 meats on rice. It was 8pm when we came so there was no other customer in the restaurant.

The food was flavourful and the spring rolls were really delicious. I’m docking one star off because this is probably the only Vietnamese restaurant I’ve been to in a really long time that served the lemongrass chicken bone in. It also wasn’t fully cut so it was very difficult eating the chicken attached to all its other adjacent parts. Also the bone fragments, blood and the marrow were falling into the vermicelli making it extremely frustrating to eat.

I managed to eat the meal but with the need to constantly spit out hard fragments and congealed chicken blood. Also, it was over cooked.

I will come back again to try other things but I’m sadly disappointed with the chicken which is usually my go to.

Pro – no taxes and no cost for take out containers.

I love that they have the pork and shrimp tapioca dumplings. A place I used to go to stopped selling them so I was glad to find them here. The three types of beef rolls were also very good. Service was super friendly.
