We were invited out to dinner here because it is supposedly the best prime rib ( $52.00 steak ) around. We showed up there was a couple, and a party of three for a bday party. Honey ordered the prime rib which he absolutely loved. The broccoli was cold and tasted like it came from a bag from the frozen case at the grocery store. The potato had the equivalent of stick of butter on it. We were charge six dollars for an extra plate we didn’t end up using. The rest of us shared the captains seafood platter. It was $ 25 bucks it had two small pieces of fish , cod and halibut one of which tasted like perfume. It came with four decent size fried shrimp and a few fryed scallops. Nothing exciting it’s was all outlining a huge pile of skinny fries. Honey ordered scallops that were cooked in butter they were not very big , 6 for $14.95. I had a bloody Mary which tasted like a shot of titos vodka a ton of ice lots of water and very little anything to make it taste like a bloody Mary it was barely pink in color just so you understand. The cocktails are $14.95 . Our friend was there mostly to try the $9.00 cheesecake which was marginal. Not good enough to be $9.00. it was supposed to be huckle berry , no fruit on top very few mixed in the cheesecake. Our whole bill was $175.00 for two meals , 1 small piece of cheesecake and a few drinks. We WONT be going back.
Side note
On our way out we stopped at the THE HIVE BAR And GRILL next door. I had a salad that I loved we had several beverages , some cocktails and our bill was $37.00. VERY NICE PEOPLE AT THE HIVE AND THEY ARE FAMILY FRIENDLY!

So I don’t go out of my way to give reviews. But this places steak is the best I think that I have ever had. Cooked just right, the flavor was good and the fixings that was with it just made it better. It’s a little bit out of the way but it is worth it. We’ll be going back to it for shur.

First time here. Never even heard of this place until a few days ago. Thought we’d try something different than our usual dinner places. Not a place for minors to go, so this should be an adult only outing, as it was for us. The atmosphere is very much it’s own style, with writing all over the ceiling from visitors past. Kind of fun to read some of the things up there. You can tell this is a local favorite with some history. The filet mignon was amazing! Dare I say the best I have had? My hubby loved the rib eye steak as well. Steph was a good server and kept drinks refilled. She even provided a bag of ice for my hubby on crutches, whose ankle is sprained and in pain. The homemade cheesecake was also very good.

FANTASTIC!!!! My colleagues, my patients and those around Goldendale have all told me that this is a must and they were absolutely correct. The service and meal were excellent. Gretchen was very personal, friendly and cute with a small town welcoming attitude. The New York strip was better than anything I have at any large chain restaurant. The atmosphere and conviviality of this quaint diner is definitely small town in nature and this restaurant is worth the drive and the experience. Klickitat is definitely small town USA.

Yes the food was good but either we were over charged or their prices are outrageous. $175+ for two people. That’s for two steak dinners(one added shrimp), two pieces of cheesecake, and 5cans of diet soda.

Dinner was fantastic. Had many different cuts of steak to choose from. We settled on the ribeye dinner with loaded baked potato and broccoli topped with cheese. And the second choice was the pork loin dinner with the same sides. I ordered a side house salad with blue cheese and that also was amazing. My only complaint would be when ordering the pork i was thinking a pork chop but the menu clearly stated loin so that was my own fault. Service was warm and welcoming and when in the area again we will certainly eat here again. Over all great experience.

Good food for the area. No drink pricing on menus. Service was slow even though it wasn’t busy. Felt a bit over priced for bar food.

They still got it!! We’ve been going here for many years, but haven’t been for awhile, but it’s as good and unique as always. The thing that always amazes me is how much $ you can spend in such a small town quite a ways off the beaten path – it ain’t cheap eats…but worth it!
Steaks are what it’s all about here…they are always fantastic and cooked to perfection!! The cheese cake is always a nice way to wrap up the evening and an amazing taste treat!!
Be prepared, this is a unique place in a unique town!! It’s a bar that makes some amazing food! Don’t expect high end ambiance, but rather a backwoods bar look that adds to the experience in my opinion.
Huntington’s gets a solid recommendation from me and I’ve never not had a wonderful time there. Go expecting to pay top $ for the meat and enjoy the wonderful folks and the experience.

Honestly the best steak in the Gorge by a large margin. The owner says he makes them like he likes to eat them, and I believe it! Bring your own bottle or wine to take it up a notch and enjoy the ribeye!

2 of our steaks were rancid not even close to edible. I only took 1 bite and knew something was very wrong. I took it home to see if it was just raw but it’s rancid like eating pure lard. It was paste. This is what we discovered when we got home. Please see photo
A few of us went back to the restaurant the next night to show the staff and owner and we’re basically dismissed and offered a gift certificate.
