We can’t say enough about Hunt & Gather Restaurant in Torrey, Utah—this place is absolutely top-notch! From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for something special.
Nancy, the owner and hostess, was exceptionally accommodating and made us feel instantly welcome. Her warmth and attention to detail set the tone for an extraordinary evening. Her husband, the chef, is a true culinary artist who created meals that were simply out of this world. Each dish was a masterpiece, featuring thoughtful and artistic presentations that were almost too beautiful to eat.
We were adventurous and tried the elk, trout, and antelope—all prepared to perfection with incredible depth of flavor. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, and everything tasted incredibly fresh and expertly prepared. You can taste the passion and skill in every bite. And we absolutely must mention the sweet potato pecan pie—a perfect ending to a perfect meal!
Our servers, Emily and Lisa, were both professional and amazing, providing attentive service that enhanced the entire experience without being intrusive.
Hunt & Gather offers a true gourmet dining experience that you simply won’t find elsewhere in the area. If you’re looking for exceptional food, impeccable service, and a memorable evening, this is the place. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to return
A special mention goes to our server, who was exceptionally kind and attentive, adding a warm and personal touch to the meal. We ended with the Chocolate Decadence cake, which was absolutely delicious — rich, perfectly balanced, and a real treat.
The shaded terrace overlooking the garden is also a highlight — a peaceful and charming setting that made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
After a long day of hiking, the well-prepared dishes and warm atmosphere were exactly what I needed. The food was genuinely good, flavorful, and satisfying.
If you’re in the area and craving something beyond campfire meals and granola bars, this spot is well worth a stop.
For dinner, my wife had one of the specials, Cast Iron Steak Marsala, and it was an absolute flavor bomb. The steak medallions were flawless.
I went for the Buffalo Ribeye. It was cooked properly but a bit lean for my liking. Nothing like a beef ribeye. But the dish was good, and the potatoes and vegetables were great.
Their ice cream is made in house and OMG was it great. I also ordered the Sweet Potato Bourbon Pecan Pie because… sweet potato pie for dessert? Yes please. My wife got the flourless chocolate cake and it’s one of the better ones (if not best) we’ve ever had.
Super happy, very impressed, and not at all what we expected the dining experience to be like in a tiny rural town.
Also, we were here at the end of May and sat outdoors. The views were just gorgeous and the weather was perfect.
I hope this little restaurant flourishes. They deserve it!
