The gals working were fantastic . My first time there. They had a gluten free option which I was really excited about! My wings were great too! My only sad food moment was my pineapple on my pizza had no taste. OMG the buttered garlic bread or whatever that is, IS AMAZING! Seriously, I would go back just for that! Nice and hot! Do yourself a favor and check them out! You’ll be happy you did!

The night of October 3 2025 at the Main St. Dunedin location my mom and I ordered carryout online after my long shift, and we were starving. When we got there, the order wasn’t ready, so we waited a bit longer. Since it was fresh, we figured we’d eat one piece of our cheesy bread in the car before heading home.
The first issue: the slices were cut very unevenly—one was huge while the rest were tiny. I took a bite of the big one, and my mom tried hers. Both pieces were raw dough in the middle and had almost no cheese. Obviously, that’s not something anyone would want to eat, so my mom went inside to politely ask for it to be remade.
While waiting, we could see staff whispering and clearly talking negatively about the situation. After about 10 minutes, when the shift lead (I believe strawberry blonde hair) came out, things went from bad to worse. She kept the original cheesy bread we returned, then argued with my mom at the counter about why it was remade. She literally started pulling it apart with her fingers, insisting there was cheese (it was raw dough). Then, in front of another customer, she repeatedly called my mom “babygirl” in a condescending tone—3–4 times.
Only two pieces were touched (and spit out because they were raw), yet the shift lead claimed we “ate most of it” (only looked like that because of the uneven slices). My mom, who is one of the kindest people you could ever meet, especially in customer service situations, was treated rudely and dismissed instead of being respected.
Even if the restaurant disagreed, the way it was handled was completely unprofessional. Arguing with a customer, speaking condescendingly, and calling them “babygirl” at the counter in front of others is unacceptable.
We won’t be returning to this location and I find it difficult to understand why others would because customer service clearly isn’t a priority here. I genuinely cannot believe management would hire such an unprofessional individual.

My family has ordered here several times over the years we’ve lived in Dunedin (Hungry Howies was a HUGE staple in my college diet back in Gainesville lol) – however I have to give a shout out to the staff today and their amazing way to treat a customer – they handed me 1 too many boxes and when I attempted to correct them, they said “we screwed up the flavored crust you wanted on one of them, feel free to take both home”!!
An amazing save, I would have been fine with a straying from the order but need to give them props for going above and beyond.

One of my pizzas was under cooked. The howie bread did not have a good taste at all and not to mention they put the marinara sauces on top of the bread causing indentations in the bread… Not a good look nor is it sanitary in my opinion. The ranches were in with the pizza boxes making them warm by the time we got them. And I was given the wrong drink. For the price of almost 50 dollars Including a 5.00 tip for the driver I’d say go to Jett’s pizza or dominos.
