Can always count on Hungry Howies to deliver! We ordered 6 pizzas of various configurations; they were all great and completely flavored from edge to edge. We had made a mistake with our online order and had forgotten something. Called the store and was overly helped with our issue (mistakenly set as pickup, needing delivery). I offered to pay more and over-tip for the error, but the gentleman on the phone took care of the whole situation and had everything delivered right out to us within minutes. Of course, I tipped the driver and gave him something extra for the great service and the gentleman who had helped us over the phone. 5/5, always at this location!

I absolutely love that they offer gluten free pizza but I’m also getting tired of getting it burnt! Have to cut most off as it’s so burnt and hard that means hardly any left!!! I should not have to check the quality but if I go back I will definitely have to check the box before leaving.

The dude working today was amazing. Super friendly, personable and fun to talk to while we finished up my order. Pizza looked absolutely perfect, I mean just look at it! The dude deserves some recognition, I wish I would of gotten his name. He seemed to be the only one there which adds to how awesome he did! Came in on 1/6/24 around 2pm, hopefully he gets some props for this, he deserves it!

Photo does not really do it justice but we ordered Howie special and a meat eaters. The meat eaters was fine and delicious but the Howie special was way undercooked and doughy…not sure of because of vegetables on it but was cooked through close to crust but 3/4 of the pizza it was just lightly cooked on bottom and the rest was straight up dough with cooked toppings on top. Slices were probably the sloppiest slices I ever handled (probably cause still dough) tried to throw it in the oven and mostly cooked but burned the crust. So we just scraped off the toppings and threw the rest away. Probably would of gone with a 1 star but one of the pizzas was made right so settled on the 2

It’s very frustrating when. Your order gets made wrong ,on top of discovering what seemed to be pubic hair baked on the pizza,I tried to call several times to inform them of the situation each time I called it was 15 min wait on hold and when someone finally answered they say “hello” 3 times and hang up ,I tried to call today and a woman did the same thing , not sure why this store is open if your not going to assist customers especially when it was a horrible and disgusting experience.this is not ok when you spend money at a place and don’t even get to eat the actual food, let alone not one single person answering the phone .I will not be returning, hopefully corporate can see this review and educate their employees, I’m giving 3 stars because usually the food is great I haven’t had an issue beside this one .

The gluten free crust here is good I really do like it! Im not sure how safe it is though because the service ive gotten when i went in was awful. The guy was rude and did not seem to have any care at all.

My husband recently moved from Illinois and we have not had Hungry Howies in over 20+ years. They closed our Illinois location. We use to go there all the time when we first started dating and now we’ve been married for over 20 years. It was a nice surprise to see it here. The Surprsie location is where we went and had the best service. Jo was her name and she was so sweet to us and checked on us after we received our food. She just made us feel so welcome. The gentleman working with her made our food just the way we remembered. It was so nice to take a step back in our past. Jo was so sweet thanked us for coming in and enjoying the food after 20 years. We definitely will be back!! Thank you Jo and the staff at the Surprise location.

My husband went in tonight and the staff was so wonderful it inspired me to write a long overdo review. We’ve lived down the road from this location for over two years and have gotten more pizza than I would like to admit. The staff is fantastic, they’ve always gotten our correct order, it’s always hot and ready and who can beat hungry Howies crust?? Especially the stuffed crust. Thank you everyone that was there tonight! You guys are wonderful and we’ll be back of course!
