I think I’ve visited and order from every pizza/ sub shop in the RGV.
By far this place is Amazing! I was initially impressed by the cleanliness. I have ordered from Pizza Hut and Domino’s. Pizza Hut on University was disgusting. There were bugs on the counter as you ordered, I will never visit/order ANYTHING from that place again. Domino’s Pizzas were dry and disappointing, but much cleaner in comparison to the Hut.
I’ve ordered from Hungry Howies twice so far, I have not been disappointed. The pizza is hot and flavorful (crust seasoning is yummy), establishment is extremely clean and organized. Let’s talk about the subs. I order the chicken club the second time. I have one word….AMAZING. So different than the humdrum Subway sub.
I was super impressed with the customer service: explaining specials, recommendations and greeting…top notch. Yadi, cares deeply about customer service providing a clean, healthy restaurant. Very rare here!
LASTLY the prices are very affordable and the quality is not compromised

I love this place. I first tried this pizza in San Antonio so I’m glad there’s one here on the North McAllen/Edinburg border. The owner is such a wonderful person with a natural passion for customer service. I love the flatbread pizzas. Small enough to be a personal size and I love the thin crust. The different flavors for the crust is a nice option and they are all delicious. The wings are so delicious and a good size. Perfect pizza and wings for family night. Pepperoni, mushroom and jalapeno on original stuffed crust without seasoning on crust is a favorite!

The food was amazing, we had a Detroit pizza, a junior pizza, wings & brookies. My husband devoured the Detroit pizza and wings before I could take a picture. Everything was just perfect, I am sad we hadn’t gone earlier.

First time trying this pizza out. Ordering online was very easy and with a coupon too. The pizza tasted great initially; however, not as a leftover. The crust tasted weird when the pizza was reheated.

Was told to stop here by a friend. The staff was friendly and respectful and described the flavor crust. I ordered the works with Butter cheese and Cajun crust flavor and the flavor didn’t disappoint. It tasted like a smokehouse pizza with the melded flavors. Each ingredient fresh and pizza made with no shortcuts. I highly recommend and if you try, you’d spread the word about this place like Jesus. Best pizza spot in the Valley.

Our first time here and we have to say this place is amazing! Customer service was excellent! They came to greet us almost immediately even though we saw how busy their Friday night was. They were nice at explaining their menus and told us about their many flavored crusts which are FREE! We couldn’t make up our minds on what we wanted so they were patient and told us to take our time. We didn’t feel rushed and they had a cute yellow bell with a happy face on the counter that we rang so they could help us continue with our order. We noticed how clean their place was and we agree with others comments; great vibe! Sam was very nice and told us how much time we would wait for our order.We waited about 10 minutes for our pizza and it was hot and toppings were very generous!! The crust is heavenly just like a breadstick! Super savory and crispy and chewy at the same time!!! We ordered the Howie Works pizza with the garlic herb and light butter crust; chefs kiss!!!!! Can’t believe we took this long to come here but we are glad that we did!! Congrats Hungry Howie’s! Kudos on your pizza place!

I’ve known about this chain since the late 1990’s in Florida. This was one of my go to spots then for good pizza and subs at a great price. When I found out they had opened a new location in the Valley I was looking forward to visit and they did not disappoint. This was my second time ordering from Hungry Howie’s since it opened . First time ordering was anonymously online and it was great . Two lunch specials small pizza (pepperoni)and also a sub sandwich (Italian) $7.49 w/ a drink . Price is just right. This time I ordered through the app and my pizza was out when I requested , fresh and hot ! Another special large two topping ( pepperoni and sausage) well done , with the original seasoning. When I arrived the girl behind the counter was smiling and answered all of my questions , very polite and friendly. Even the pizzaiolo came from the back and mentioned the drinks they carried . Place is clean, pizza is hot , tastes great and great staff ! Will definitely be back for more .
