We were in the area for a job. It’s located in such a beautiful place nice scenery. We stopped in for some takeout on drive back home. We got a tip sandwich, pork ribs, Mac nd cheese, BBQ beans. Friendly staff and the food was pretty good.

Stopped by Hungry Al’s when we were trying to find I-5 adjacent food that wasn’t a chain place. The food was great, the bathrooms were sparkling clean, and the portions were perfect! I had the I-5 mac n cheese with tri tip and it was phenomenal. The tri tip was tender and juicy, the mac was some of the best I’ve had. My wife and kiddo both had the pulled pork and loved it.
You won’t be disappointed if you eat here!

Really fun spot. The whole family enjoyed the pork ribs, half chicken, kids’ sliders and Mac n’ cheese! We cued up the playlist on the jukebox and played pool while we waited. We also enjoyed cheesecake and carrot cake. It was all delicious. It was also fun learning more about Al’s 40 years of BBQ experience. I highly recommend!

Super friendly service, great BBQ, great location. I’ve ridden through the town of Pine Mountain many times and never stopped, but this time we stopped for a lunch break. Hungry Al’s was the perfect stop to take in the cooler temps, eat some awesome BBQ, and just unwind a bit before making the final trek home. Definitely worth the stop.

The meats are smoked. Pork, brisket, links, chicken, beef & pork ribs and tri-tip. My favorite dish is pull pork, my husband’s is chicken! They make their sides, potato & coleslaw salads, Mac & cheese and beans. They have various refreshing drinks to choose from plus crushed ice. You can select your music and watch sport TV, or play pool. All delicious There are 2 Hungry Al’s, Pine Mountain Club and Lebec Ca.

I’m not sure if I’m spoiled from my own BBQ but we were really disappointed by this place ☹️ We went on vacation for our anniversary and decided to get BBQ for our dinner. We both got the pork ribs plate. The ribs tasted like they were reheated and the flavor was weird. The texture was really soggy, not like it was smoked. Also $25 for 3 ribs and 2 sides is kind of steep. Mac and cheese was good but the potato salad tasted like they just added milk and the potatoes weren’t cooked all the way. Staff was friendly. We could tell we were outsiders but they warmed up to us eventually.

I went on a weekday when it wasn’t busy, and I was a bit disappointed to find mold on the bread. It doesn’t really feel trustworthy. The portion was small, and it was a bit too sweet.
