I’d say I’ve never been disappointed except for this last visit. There’s never a long wait and the food is great. This last trip, I ordered online and that may or may not be the problem. The menu said I was paying for 3 spring rolls, I only received 1. I ordered my usual 6 crab rangoons, they were practically empty and over fried. My total order should have given me 2 meals and a snack. It was really 1 meal and a snack/leftovers. Bummer.

We typically order from either Lucky Star in Andorra or China Star in Blue Bell. As we were in the area, we ordered from Hunan Wok. What a disappointment. The staff was very rude. We ordered Shrimp Fried Rice. The shrimp were tiny, but more importantly, they were not cleaned! Each shrimp had a black line of you know what along the back. Disgusting. Also ordered steamed and fried dumplings. Both varieties were doughy and chewy. More like a bun than a dumpling. Won’t be going back.

I noticed almost every time I ordered from here I would have bad stomach aches, and diarrhea after. The last time I ordered I noticed they don’t clean their shrimp and it all made sense. It’s a shame because their food is tasty… but at what cost.

They have the best General Tao’s chicken in the Tristate. It is crispy sweet a bit spicy. We always order this along with beef with mixed Chinese vegetables.

Update (July 2025): I don’t live in the area anymore but I went today on my way home and was sadly disappointed. I’m not sure if it’s a new owner but my sesame chicken was terrible. I could barely pick it up with a fork because the fork couldn’t pierce the outter layer of batter. When I grabbed a knife it appeared to be all batter, barely any chicken.

I ordered general tso chicken. I tried to eat it but it was like chewing on leather. Very tough. My jaw was tired after every bite. I have seriously never had Chinese food this bad. I could not finish it.
