I don’t like the food. The chicken and broccoli doesn’t have that usual thick sauce. The flavor on everything is just a little off compared to most Chinese.

What a pleasant surprise! I haven’t been to Hunan Lake for a very long time because it was just an average take out place. I was just there and wow! The service was very fast, and the food…a complete difference from what I remember.

Delicious food! Prompt service! Clean atmosphere! Not only was our food ready before the 15min pick up time they gave us, but the inside of the place was spotless and organized, I was impressed! Our food was hot and the portions were generous. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken combo and my husband had the General Tso Chicken combo. We also had an order of the Crab Rangoon and a small wonton soup. The egg rolls & Rangoon tasted like they had been fried in fresh oil. They were soooo yummy and did not have that excess oil that usually accompanies fried food. This is our new favorite Chinese take out place! Highly recommend!!!

Hunan Lake does not have in-house service. It is pick up or delivery only. The food is terrific and always ready on time for pick up. They use the usual delivery services.

Wow. . read the whiny reviews of “it’s inedible” and “it’s bland”, “the rice was hard”, etc., etc. . .this is during The Covid Crisis. . .they said “15-20 minutes”. .was quicker than that. . .no “mask required” sign on the door yet the employees were behind a wall of Plexi and wearing masks. . .only thing I didn’t like was a single pen that everyone had to use to sign the credit card receipt. Food? While it wasn’t overly flavorful, it wasn’t too salty like most Chinese food. . .I got beef and broccoli and Won Ton and rice. . the rice was fine, could taste the beef and broccoli and it was a huge serving .add salt if you like. .not me. . .won ton was also good. . .all for $12. . .I’ll have leftovers. . .shut up and eat! 🙂

Bland, flavorless rice. Couldn’t tell one dish from the next. EVERYTHING we ordered ended up breaded chicken with 4 pcs of broccoli. Added pics. Can you tell they’re different entrées? Nope. For the cost, it won’t happen twice.

You can’t go wrong with it anything on the menu! The chicken is unbelievably tender and large portions of food. I highly suggest eating at this place if you like good Chinese food.

Got large expensive rice that’s supposed to have everything. Downgraded to popcorn shrimp that had whopping 3 in entire quart. Eggrollls small frozen and tasteless.. Raised prices not issue. NO quality is. After decades I’m done. Frozen popcorn shrimp anyone? Psych..there isn’t any!!

I cannot recommend this place. I have ordered from them many times and in the past year Ive gotten sick 3 times after eating their food. I thought maybe it was me but again today I got egg drop soup, and egg rolls. I ate it and in 20 minutes I threw up. This has happened a few months ago and I got the same food. I had egg drop soup and it didn’t taste very good or not what I normally was used to, but I ate it anyway and it came back up in 20 minutes. To be fair the food is normally fine but today it was bad. I don’t know what was wrong but I won’t eat there again and I can’t recommend them. The shop is clean and very neat so cleanliness they get an A plus but food wise today it was very bad. For the record I never get sick on food I have a strong stomach but unfortunately I could not handle their food today. Maybe it was old or something I don’t know but I won’t get anything from them again. I’m a senior citizen if that makes any difference.
