Lot of choices and lunch specials for under $10 is everyday even on weekends

This has been my go-to for years and they have never disappointed! Consistent, delicious food with the best flavors. And the sweetest employees that work their tails off. When I’m in a bind I get it delivered via BeyondMenu and it’s the same – hot and delicious! Highly recommend and always telling my friends and family to order from here instead of others.

Classic Chinese restaurant atmosphere, DELICIOUS food, kind service. Kitchen is very accommodating, no request seems to be too much. Only restaurant I’ve ever been able to order Mei Fun 3 different ways. If I’m ever in the Ocean City area, I will be coming here.

Placed an order and was told that it would be 30 minutes. Fifteen minutes later when I realized that I called the wrong Hunan Garden, I called back to cancel.the order. I was told that I should have called sooner and that I needed to come pick up the order. The person answering the phone spoke rudely and we hung up. The manager then called me to say that I needed to come pick up the food. I explained that I couldn’t as I was too far away and that I meant to call the Hunan Garden near me. I was in Sykesville, MD. The lady said that if I didn’t pick the order up that I will not be able to order from them again. I guess I’m being punished for making a mistake. I’m sure others have made the same mistake. I mean this is not the only Hunan Garden in the State.
Don’t get me wrong, they have good food, but I can find good Chinese food elsewhere with better customer service.

Food is below average. They have repeatedly delivered orders with many purchased items missing. They blame the driver and dont credit for their mistakes. I dont recomend this place especially for delivery or owning and correcting their mistakes. They charged us for food not delivered.

The young lady taking orders was an absolute delight, she was bubbly , polite and efficient. It is a pretty standard strip mall type place and I actually love those kinds of restaurants for Chinese carryout. You know what you’re getting there’s not a lot of pretense it’s good basic Americanized Chinese food. They made Hunan beef for me as it isn’t normally on the combination dinner menu. This is a nice place if I was a local I’d probably go hear more often than not. It is a little pricier than some Chinese carryout in other cities. The area is called Ocean pines and I saw a lot of nice cars. They are correctly in a capitalist Society charging what the market will bear that’s all good.

I went the Hunan Garden because their menu said they had “Crispy Beef”. Unfortunately the beef was not a Crispy Beef dish I have ever seen. It was beef slices dipped in a batter and probably fried. Once they added the sauce, it became a soggy mess. The restaurant should consider leaving the sauce on the side, thereby allowing the dish to stay relatively crispy. I would call this dish “Fried Soggy Doughnut Beef” with sweet orange zest. I also found the sauce to be too sweet and with too much orange flavor. They may have a lot of great dishes, but this one fails. I had to throw it away after a couple of bites. Sorry.

We called this place to ask about gluten free options, and we were so amazed on the information we got from the cook/ manager herself! We ordered our food and went for pick up. As we are on vacation out here and we are craving some good chinese food. We walked in and got greeted right away, and she again went through everything for us. I’m sorry I didn’t get her name! But we knew that, she knew exactly what she was talking about. After leaving and getting to the campground, we ate and this was by far the best Chinese we have had! Thank you to all for taking the time to explain ingredients etc. Wifey is so happy, as she hadn’t had Chinese in over 10 plus years! Due to not finding a Chinese place that would serve for gluten free ppl..We’ll definitely be back! Keep up the great work.

I have been dining with Hunan garden since the opened 18 or 19 years now almost once a week. It is as consistent and delicious now as ever before. Mrs Judy and her husband and their beautiful children have worked tirelessly forever building a truly loyal customer base because of their dedication to quality authentic Chinese food. The portions are plenty and at a reasonable value.
I look forward to eating there every week.
