If you are craving Chinese, this place is by far one of the most authentic and delicious Chinese foods you will find not just in Rocklin, but in the entire greater Sacramento metropolitan area. I can’t remember the last time I had Chinese food this good. Most every “Chinese” place in America, yes even the ones in Chinatown in SF, is a slop fest with massive amounts of sauce and authentic Chinese wok and fresh vegetable flavor.
I ordered 5 dishes.
Fried eggs and tomatoes 5/5 (almost better than the one I make at home with a lot more wok seared flavor)
Fried eggplants and string beans 5/5
Stir fried Hunan beef with veggies 5/5
Beef chowmein 5/5
Chicken fried rice 4/5 (only thing that wasn’t up to par with the rest, the chicken was too dry and not flavorful)
Overall. I highly recommend this place if you want Chinese. I will definitely become a regular at this place. Check it out yourself, I guarantee you won’t regret.
Don’t miss the tea for sure. It was very vibrant to look at too.
Coming into the restaurant we were greeted quickly by one of the servers and he asked if we were going to do takeout or dine in. We said it was going to be dining and he sat as quickly. We did not even wait to get a table. As we browse the menu we confirmed if the lunch specials were still available because it was pushing towards 2:00 p.m. and he told us yes.
We all got the lunch specials and the different items we got were lemon chicken steamed rice green beans for one dish, the other was the spicy chicken with eggplant and green beans with fried rice, and the last one was another chicken dish with noodles, and the eggplant green bean side dish.
Hands down this place was exceedingly amazing. The two chicken dishes though they looked a little similar had completely different taste profiles. We were also extremely happy with the lemon chicken because it was not overly breaded and the sauce tasted like fresh lemon juice and zest was used versus it being from a package. The sweet and sour soup that was started the meal was delicious because it had a lot of umami flavor Plus lots of bits of the bamboo shoots and tofu and mushroom like it was a nice little hearty cup to start your meal.
Also I wanted to give a shout out to our server Wang. He was super sweet and checked in on us quite frequently throughout the meal.
If you are in the area and have a chance to check this place out please do so we will definitely be trying it out again when we are in the Roseville area.
The sweet and sour intestines were cooked flawlessly, paired with pickled greens, and completely free of any unpleasant smell.
With a chef straight from Hunan, every dish shows care, precision, and authentic flavor.
Highly recommend for anyone craving genuine Hunan cuisine!
You can tell they care about consistency and quality every visit is just as good as the last. Great food, great service, and a solid local spot we’re always happy to support. Highly recommend!
