Omg this place is the real deal. Their hummus is well done, the lamb kabobs is tender and delicious. The food hugs you! We had the kibbeh, shummus, date shake. Their falafels are fresh and is amazing, they are light and flaky. The owner was so welcoming and kind. The customer service is awesome.

The place and its decorations are super cute.
Our group had: Gummus (spice gyro meat with hummus), Halloumi Sticks, Chicken Shawarma, Falafel, Arayes, and a date shake.
We loved everything.
My husband mentioned to the guy up front that if he had room at the end he was coming back for a date shake. When he eventually went back to order it there guy had it already made and said, “I knew you’d be back.” Mind blown.

This spot is consistently good. With a scratch kitchen that makes everything to order, the food is fresh and flavorful. The staff is very friendly and is patient with new customers as they navigate the menu. We popped in for lunch and were able to sit outside and enjoy the nice fall weather. Their hummus is excellent. It is silky with an assortment lf toppings that provide different textures and pops of flavor. The beets babaganoush is a newer addition and it has a slightly sweet flavor, as opposed to it’s slightly bitter counterpart. The falafel are just the right size and have a perfectly crunchy outside. The chicken kabob plate is hot and fresh and the sides are just right. The menu is ample and there is definitely something for everyone.

This is my go-to Mediterranean restaurant in Overland Park downtown! The location is perfect—I often stop by Hummus & Pita after city events like the farmers market, or before meeting friends for coffee at Homer’s or grabbing a drink at Strang Hall.

The food is amazing. I traveled to KC for work. I Googled “food near me”, Hummas & Pita came up. The food was authentic and flavorful. Their house made Hummas is the best. The staff was warm and welcoming. I went back to the office and told my colleagues about this hidden gem.

In one visit, I’m already a huge fan of Hummus and Pita! A while back, we dined at the Ethiopian place across the street and I saw Hummus and Pita and bookmarked it to return.
I pretty much grew up eating Lebanese food at least weekly and love all Middle Eastern cuisine. The owner here is from Jordan. The food here is exquisite!
We started with the delicious and beautiful presented tahini heavy hummus. We prefer tahini forward hummus to lemon or garlic heavy versions and this is perfection. The pita was served very hot and fresh. The olive oil and special little jalapeño blend are chef’s kiss good.
The tabouli here is great! Wonderfully proportioned and fresh daily. I can tell it’s not been sitting around.
Everything here is halal. I love that. It’s better and higher quality. Healthier. It’s a beautiful restaurant too! So clean, cute and cozy.
My wife had the gyro plate and they let us sub a salad for fries. She loved it! The tzatziki sauce was perfect; chunky chopped cucumber was amazing.
I had the beef shawarma. It was perfect. No notes. I’ve only had one better in my life. I can’t wait to have another here!!

This was such a delightful experience! We brought our 2 & 4 year old, and they loved it too. The little ones got the pita pizza with rice and chicken tenders. We got the hummus, beef shawarma, and mixed kabob plate. Everything was perfectly cooked and so flavorful. The vibe on this rainy cold day was super cozy. The staff was so inviting and accommodating to the energy we brought in. Spilled water, hummus samples, and all smiles. We will definitely be back very soon.
