This place is hard to find because it’s behind the Chevron gas station not viable from the road. I just wanted a burger and the online pics looked good. The burger was okay for what you pay for 1 burger I could have went to In and Out for a better burger, fries and a drink. I also don’t like the fact that they make you give a tip. I don’t mind tipping if I’m sitting and being served but I don’t think I need to tipping if I’m pick up my order.

Waited 26 min’s while others behind me ordered and were served.. not pleased will possibly give them another shot when I have a half hour to waist. Foods good for the most part but not good enough to waist my time… Edited: the photo is the rare hamburger I waited for…. Seriously ?

When the guy saw I was using a shopping show coupon he jacked up the price! I had 3 $12 meals and a $7 small fry and he tried to charge me $54( down from $58)!!!! He said there is tax too! The fries were more like mini frozen seasoned fries. Definitely NOT exceptional like he tried to tell me when I questioned him. He said they have really good pub style fries. NOT!!!!! Food is fairly ok. VERY small portions! Not a good value for what you end up getting charged based on a coupon!
Since when do you pay a 20% tax? Did I miss a law change somewhere?

Humboldt Bay Burgers isn’t just another burger joint—it’s a Humboldt County institution where big, bold flavors meet a laid-back vibe, making it a must-visit for burger lovers near and far. Located in the heart of Eureka, this spot has mastered the art of the perfect burger, offering a menu that’s as creative as it is delicious. Here’s why Humboldt Bay Burgers should be on your radar:

Burgers That Pack a Punch

Humboldt Bay Burgers doesn’t just serve burgers—they craft them. Each burger is made to order, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients that elevate the flavor to new heights. Whether you’re a classic cheeseburger lover or someone who craves unique flavor combos, there’s something for everyone.

Menu Highlights:

The Humboldt Classic: Juicy beef patty, crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, and melty cheese, all stacked on a perfectly toasted bun. Sometimes simple is best, and this one nails it.

The Bay Beast: A towering masterpiece loaded with bacon, avocado, caramelized onions, and their signature sauce. It’s as messy as it is delicious.

Veggie Nirvana: For plant-based eaters, this burger features a house-made veggie patty that’s packed with flavor and texture—proof that vegetarian options can steal the show.

And let’s not forget the sides! The garlic fries are life-changing, and the sweet potato fries with a hint of cinnamon are a must-try. Pair them with one of their thick, creamy milkshakes, and you’ve got the ultimate indulgence.

Local Flair in Every Bite

What sets Humboldt Bay Burgers apart is their commitment to supporting local farmers and suppliers. You’re not just eating a great burger—you’re tasting the best of Humboldt County. The freshness of the ingredients shines through in every bite, and the care they put into their food is evident.

A Casual, Cool Atmosphere

The vibe here is quintessential Humboldt: relaxed, friendly, and welcoming. The rustic decor, featuring nods to the local bay and the community, adds a touch of charm. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or lingering with friends, the atmosphere makes you feel right at home.

Outstanding Service

The team at Humboldt Bay Burgers deserves a shoutout for their fantastic customer service. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a smile and genuine enthusiasm. They’re happy to recommend menu items, accommodate special requests, and make sure your experience is top-notch.

I went to HBB a few weeks ago for the first time because I had heard they had good burger. That I day I picked the Asada tacos and they were great! I went back yesterday 8/2/23 and ordered a burger and a cheese burger. I asked for limited sauce. I don’t like the goo that the chain places use. And I got 2 great burgers! Overall well balanced but the star was the meat. It had a great real beef flavor. Rich and flavorful meat goes a long way. I think best beef burger I found so far in Humboldt! I suggest taking a bite immediately at pick up. I think you will sticking a few more in the tip jar. Support this place please!

$24 for a Sysco burger and cold frozen fries. Get ready to pay extra for ketchup. And don’t expect any logic to the service.
