We hadn’t tried the new locations so decided to check out happy hour at Huli Huli! The new location seems much bigger with a pleasant patio area in the back to enjoy the sunshine if the weather is good. Happy hour deals on drinks and food were excellent. We especially loved the shrimp kisses and deals on well drinks. The menu has lots of variety and something for everyone. Overall, a fun place to grab a drink and a bite.

Very relaxed atmosphere. They cooked up an awesome meal with our fresh fish fillets. Perfect way to end a day on the water. Cold beer and the best dipping sauce. It was delicious!

Amazing food and service! We were recommended here by the charter captain of our fishing excursion to cook our catch of the day. We showed up with our filleted red drum and they worked their magic cooking it up and turning it into a full meal for us! Highly recommend!

Ok!
So I only gave 4 stars because there was a hair in our boil and when we asked for it to be discounted the I’m assuming manager told us he couldn’t do it. Didn’t give reasoning, so idk why he couldn’t.. maybe he it was already discounted. But he did cover it with key lime pie so I guess it’s a win!

Other than I would 10/10 recommend this place. Crawfish was good size, veryyy good price back to 2021 days appetizers were also good. I had the mozzarella sticks and my partner had boudin balls (which he said were really good, I couldn’t try due to not eating pork). Then we both had crawfish, and crab but he also had shrimp and a link in his which he loved.

Lastly, the drinks to me personally weren’t that great. I had the painkiller and spicy watermelon marg and it was like a 6/10 painkiller & 3/10 spicy marg. He had the Courtney and I believe he liked his. He likes more syrup, I like more a balanced.

But also could have just beeen the bartender that day! Regardless i would definitely go back the next time I’m in town!

And the aesthetic was so cute! I do wish we would have gotten to experience the live music. But next time definitely!

JoeRay was so attentive and friendly. Nice low key restaurant. Good happy hour prices, live music, and TV’s with games going. Looking forward to returning to try the crawfish.

The food was good. I wouldn’t say outstanding, or even great. We ordered queso and it was Luke warm but tastey. The prices on the internet are not what they are online. I got the crawfish boil and it was $70. Lots of food but really no flavor. My husband got.the shrimp and.they were heavily breaded. They even had a sign on the hostess desk, no refunds on crawfish. Service was great, vibes were great but the flies were gross. There were a ton of them everywhere. You couldn’t eat because you were swatting the flies away.

We took some friends to Huli Huli Hut for lunch after exploring Galveston Island. It was frustrating trying to find the menu online. I heard they were getting menus but did not have them yet. I did a custom boil with 6 shrimp and 1 cluster of snow crab. The waitress was not friendly and offered very little help to figure out menu. My boil was good but very difficult to get out with only a cracker. It would have been better to eat with the right tools. My boil was not very hot so the butter was hardening on the fork while trying to eat the crab meat. The flavor was good and had lots of garlic. Service not so great! She did not even offer gloves. Another customer said they had to ask for the gloves.

1st time in was outstanding! Only wish we’d come way sooner, legit. Had the Ace boil w crawfish, crab n shrimp – corn n taters. We had queso n boudin balls to start. Way much food that was so on point! The GM came by our table and was so personable. Service was great, beer was cold.

We caught some redfish and decided to try the catch and cook idea. We requested fried fish tacos and it was outstanding. We even had someone walk up to us asking which menu item it was so he could order one.
