Wonderful breakfast visit! Atmosphere is very basic and clean, but the food is the real star. Cheerful lady at the register helped us pick out the beef suqaar and isbeseo – these had very different flavors and both were amazing! We had both the injeera and malawah breads and enjoyed both. Hearty breakfast with leftovers. Highly recommended!

The Somalian tea was amazing! I got the beef suqaar which was very flavorful, and the crepes that come with it are so good. I also got 2 of the puff breads which were also so good. It was very early morning so only 1 staff person was working and he truly went above and beyond to make my first visit perfect. I will definitely be coming back.

Hufan Restaurant & Deli is truly one of those places you’re grateful to discover. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with warm hospitality and a feeling of authenticity that’s hard to find nowadays. The food is incredibly flavorful, fresh, and prepared with real care. Every dish tastes homemade — rich spices, balanced seasoning, and generous portions.

Incredibly kind staff! My car had to be towed and I was in the area and needed a warm place to hang out. The food was tasty and the staff gave me a free water while I waited. Highly recommend (:

Their Somali tea is one of the best in Mpls..warm, creamy, and perfectly spiced. The sambusas are crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Great portions, kind service, and real Somali hospitality. Highly recommend!

The Fuul Was delicious, and portions were generous. The service was fast and friendly. I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t a lot of Somali dishes to try but the quality of the options more than made up for the lack of variety.

First taste of Somalian food, no reference for comparison. Good seasoned rice. Sambusa was very good, a little dry and heavily seasoned. The goat meat was tender and well seasoned. The sauce that comes with the meal is too spicy for me.

The best tea I’ve ever had in Minnesota, hands down. The Somali tea is a must get, if you like cardamom you will like it. Support Somali businesses!!!
