A great barbecue restaurant somewhat out of sight but well worth the visit. Noah was very pleasant and attentive to our group today. That smell of fresh smoked barbecue is as great as the food it produced. Try the apple crisp for sure, Noah made it.

We truly enjoyed the Hudson Smokehouse gem while searching for a new place to eat near our lake home. Noah, our server was very pleasant and prompt as well as was our food, we got it quickly. The Nachos were amazing, full of their mouth-watering pulled pork! We had the mac ‘n cheese with brisket.. YUM!!! Anika said she tasted beer, I laughed, that could very well be a secret ingredient in their cheese sauce, it was very good! Loved the corn bread muffins, so good!! And Troy loved his meatloaf, it was so tender and smokey with homemade potato salad and yummy beans, they were awesome, of course I tried them!! We’re definitely coming back here and will encourage our friends and family to stop in! Thank you for an amazing lunch! ❤️

Service was excellent. Food was ok. The cream based coleslaw has no real flavor. The pulled pork was quite good. The spare ribs were over priced for the amount provided. They were cooked well. The menu was limited as some things were out including any chicken. There was no trivia night as advertised on the wall. But maybe that is for off season? Hooey beer was good. Would I go back as a tourist??? Maybe?

And if I may offer one piece of advice—do not skip the baked beans! They’re rich, smoky, and simply unforgettable. Came in the evening, we ordered almost every meat on the menu, Mac and cheese, potato’s, and green beans. The only good part about the meal were the smoked chicken wings. The brisket, chopped chicken, tri tip, ribs, and pulled pork were all very dry and bland. The Mac and cheese was plain awful, but the beans and potatoes were OK. This is all without mentioning the prices (way too high). Maybe other people have had better experiences but our food was utterly disappointing.

Stopped for a little appetizer, got the smoked pork nachos. The pork was delicious. The server was a little absent minded, cause we had to get our own plates and silverware and napkins.
We stopped on a Wednesday afternoon and there was no one there.

Oh my goodness! so delicious!! I highly recommend the brisket and ribs! Sides are yummy too! The Brisket Nachos are my favorite. My hubby loves the jalapeño poppers! Don’t miss this stop in the Cuyuna Lakes Area!!!

If you’re in the area and want a drink. This isn’t a terrible establishment. We had great service and the place was nice. The food however was NOT worth the price. The brisket was insanely dry and no smoke flavor came through. If you need to serve your brisket with a multitude of sauces. Its not melt in your mouth BBQ. Definitely go to Smokey Jake’s in Aitkin. When you walk in you immediately get that smokey BBQ smell and get melt in your mouth meats. Won’t be going back.

To start the brisket was as good as everyone said. Melt in your mouth for sure. The Mac n cheese was dry and terrible. The prime rib was just a bit tough and dry. Cornbread was great! The Long Island was fantastic. Service was good and staff friendly. Good atmosphere as well. If not for the absolutely horrible Mac n cheese and prime rib, I would have given them a lot more credit here. Oh and the sauces they have are amazing. No complaints for the bbq sauces! Overall though could have been much better.
