The shrimp cocktail arrived properly cold with a horseradish cocktail sauce strong enough to clear the head and restore a man’s senses. The truffle and parmesan fries were excessive in the best possible way, crisp and fragrant and disappearing far too quickly. A margarita accompanied the proceedings and was refreshing enough to justify the indulgence.
The true centerpiece was the chicken parmesan with pasta. A large and reassuring plate buried under sauce and melted cheese, exactly the sort of meal that reminds one that good cooking still survives in pockets of this declining age.
11/10. A rare triumph.

DYNAMITE SHRIMP:
(AN EXPLOSION OF DELICIOUS!)
My brain folded over behind my head! Absolutely one of the top 5 (possibly 3) best dishes I’ve ever had!!! CRAZY!!!
Ok, the tempura batter was the most delicate I’ve ever had!! Very crisp and crunchy even after being tossed in the amazing sauce (hints of honey & orange with gentle spices & very savory – no heat, occasional spice warmth… pleasant – no issues.) Very unique and d b elicious!! Cook on the shrimp was perfect!!! Masterfully done. Served resting on a nice bed of mixed greens & cabbage with a lemon end (but it’s not needed).
Score: 10 of 10 (I’ll be back!!)
HAMBURGER:
Very nice. Comes dressed as you want – but be sure to have standard things (like pickles) removed if you don’t want them. Very filling.

PEACH BELLINIS:
Best in Dallas!!! (Reminded me of the Bellinis at Patrizio’s HP Village IN THE 80’s!) Frozed and creamy with a beautiful peach flavor profile served cold with a drizzle of Grand Marnier. (Uber so you can have 5!)
ATMOSPHERE & STAFF:
Totally perfect upscale HP chic. Super friendly staff everywhere! Melanie is the house manager and will totally VIP you – even if she doesn’t know you (and it’s your 1st time.)
Hostesses, Giselle & Tyler are happy and have big smiles that set the tone for a great evening!
And Brendon (GM) is a master. Extremely attentive to every detail and customer experience. Spends a lot of time expediting the final touches on every food item going to a table to ensure it perfect! And I saw him masterfully help a young woman who had lost her engagement ring. He made sure it was found and came by to comfort her and ensure she knew they would always take care of her.
The one you want to get to know is Gulsum!! (See photos.) She is a bartender and super friendly European blonde who knows how to make you feel so special! She is a very happy person – and 1/2 the reason I come back (yes, the Bellinis are the other 1/2!) But seriously, she actually cares about your happiness and experience. She isn’t just making drinks and passing them out – she makes friends. Case in point: It had been 2 months since my first visit. Before I could sit down – she said, “Hi John, want a Bellini?” Blew me away. THAT HAVE NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE!! Yes, I tip her very well for being a role model to others.
Overall, Hudson House (Lovers Lane) is a perfect example of what a great restaurant team should look like. I’m extremely impressed and will make it a regular place from now on!!

Heard many great things about this restaurant and we decided to pay a visit. Definitely, reservation will be helpful. This restaurant reminded me about Houston restaurant chain many years ago. High quality food and attentive service. Limited menu selection but focus on premium products, freshly prepared ingredients and careful preparation. However, not cheap.

Service was on point but hostess not so. Since we were first time here, we didn’t know reservation will be helpful. Several parties were seated before us with reservation. All the host needed to inform us that we have 3-4 reservations before you. Please don’t be upset if they were be seated before us. This will definitely clear things up. Be proactive. With the premium pricing, the front hosts need to be better at this. More is expected, more will be required. When the front host unable to deliver attentiveness, the wait staff have a difficult job recover the overall experience.
High quality food but do they offer a compelling reason to return… not so.
The seafood is amazing, but we also love the cheeseburger and salads. SERVICES, spot on and I haven’t been but I’ve heard we should visit during Christmas because they go all out with decorations.
