Tammie is the BEST waitress ever!!! My food was great! If you are in Sylacauga, stop in & visit, you’ll be happy you did. Brittany, the new manager, is really turning it all around for the good & it shows.

Friendly, fairly quick service. The menu has a good variety. I had the country fried steak, mashed potatoes and green beans. Country fried steak was big and good. The green beans were really good, but just a small bowl. Likewise the mashed potatoes was also a small, ice cream scoop, but decent.

Me and the family had a reunion this past weekend and decided to dine at our local huddle house. The staff there are absolutely amazing, courteous, welcoming, and just plain pure joy. They were fast, efficient, friendly, and treated my family from up north with a rave dose of our southern hospitality. Thank you all at this location, your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed!!!

This is so sad!! I have a 1 for food because I ordered hashbrowns all the way. I have 2 pieces of ham and 3 mushrooms in my hashbrowns. No toast!! My eggs … the white is not done. I have raw egg all in my hashbrowns. I didn’t get my drink.
My grandmothers western omelet had 1 piece of ham on it.
My order was to go. I gave a 1 on service because I’ve called 5 times and get no answer. If you have to be so scarce on you menu items you need to close because this is a rip off.

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but today’s experience left me no choice. I visited this restaurant with high hopes, remembering past visits where the service was exceptional and the food comforting. Unfortunately, what I encountered today was a stark contrast.

Upon arrival, we followed the posted instructions to “Please Wait to Be Seated.” We waited patiently for 15 minutes, watching staff rush past us without acknowledgment, clearly overwhelmed and struggling to keep up. Dirty dishes were stacked across countertops, and the atmosphere felt chaotic and neglected.

Eventually, it wasn’t staff who helped us — it was other patrons who informed us that they had been told to seat themselves. We followed suit and sat at a dirty table. A staff member passed by twice before finally clearing the dishes, but didn’t clean or sanitize the table until I asked. Though they were polite and offered repeated apologies, the lack of basic hospitality was hard to ignore.

To make matters worse, we witnessed two other customers walk in, seat themselves, and receive prompt service — menus, orders taken, everything — within minutes. The inconsistency was glaring.

When our food finally arrived, it was lukewarm at best, and the orange juice tasted watered down. It was a disappointing end to an already frustrating experience.

I’m not writing this for sympathy, but in hopes that management sees this as a call for help. This establishment clearly needs support — whether in staffing, training, or leadership. Sadly, I won’t be returning, not for dine-in or takeout, and that’s a shame given the fond memories I once had here.

The busboy called off so there was no one to bus tables or clean floors. Husband ordered the 3 pancake platter but server said they only do 2 pancakes because they are large. The pancakes weren’t even medium size but they charge a premium price for them. In all fairness, his country ham was delicious and my western omelette was par. It was just hard to enjoy because of the filth around you due to busboy calling off. Our meal was $41. Not worth the cost.

I’ve passed huddle house restaurants for years, but this was the first time stopping to eat at one. I was very surprised that the food was really good, very big portions, and far better in quality than waffle house. Shame on me for not trying one sooner, but I’ll definitely visit a huddle house again!
