The staff welcomed us when we walked through the door. It was 8 of us and they took care of everyone. The breakfast was one of the best I have gotten at a restaurant. My coffee cup was always full. The service was simply great with a smile. It will be pur go to place when we visit Hampden Sydney.

My family and I were really looking forward to breakfast at Huddle House, as it was conveniently located right up the street from the cottage we were staying in.
As we arrived, we noticed a gentleman outside working on his car, whom we later learned was the general manager. Once inside, it was clear the restaurant was in need of a deep cleaning. The doors were sticky with fingerprints and handprints, and the booth seating was visibly dirty. We strongly considered leaving but decided to give the restaurant a chance since we were already there and hungry.
Our waitress, Megan, had a wonderful personality and made sure our family had everything we needed. Her service was truly the highlight of the visit. The food itself was okay, but I honestly believe it would have been much more enjoyable in a cleaner environment.
The general manager was polite and friendly; however, seeing him come in from working on his car with grease stains on his shirt and then being in the kitchen without gloves was concerning.
Overall, this location has potential, but it really needs a thorough cleaning and better attention to cleanliness standards to improve the dining experience.

My first time eating at Huddle House and it was excellent! Greeted by, served by and food prepared by the General Manager. He was professional, kind and courteous. The food was excellent and nicely prepared. His customer service was exceptional. Our meal arrived quickly and he checked on us throughout to see if we needed anything. I will definitely stop in again!

So impressed! We came in on New Year’s Day and sat at the counter, they had gotten slammed but the three person team was a completely well oiled machine. So friendly and moving with like perfect coordination and intent, again I was just so impressed. They banged out an excellent meal for us and are clearly so well loved by locals, makes me wish I had more places like this where I live. Highly recommend!

What a difference from last year, previously have been to this huddle House where there was absolutely poor service and the food was bad. Decided to give it another try today, I was looking at the reviews and new something had to have changed! Well it did change, new managers. Christian was the name on our receipt. Working by himself, covered it all, and did a fabulous job. Will definitely come back for another visit. So glad service and food has improved! Went back 2 more times after this visit and can’t believe how it is now back to what the original huddle House use to be back in the day! Great work! Wonderful Food and great friendly staff!

took a chance on this place and was not disappointed. there were 6 in our party including 2 children. our food order ranged from breakfast meals to dinner. The food was great whether it was eggs/pancakes or a burger and fries. the service was on point. I did not have to wait on refills or track the server down and the food was out to the table quickly. will definitely go back again.

In the area about once a month and I love the value burger here so I stopped. I ended up getting a bbq burger that was amazing! I am not a huge bbq sauce person so asked for a little on one side, well I was wrong that sauce and the toppings went so well together I couldn’t stop eating it. Great food, for the price in this economy. Winner

We have literally been here for over an hour and a half. 20 minutes ago I got my waffle. The other people in my party just got their food and the appetizer still has not arrived. I’ve mentioned 3 times now that we wanted that before the food. Several parties that arrived at leas half an hour after us have been served and finished their food well before us.
Update: they did not charge us for the food and they were greatly apologetic.
Update about 4 months later: we gave it another try. It was a HUGE improvement. It still has some way to go but I definitely see some progress. 1. We only waited about 20 minutes for our food to come out. 2. They fixed the door handle that everyone was complaining about. 3. Our food looked and tasted good. 4. Our server was very, very nice.
I do have to say that cleanliness is still on the lacking side but it does seem to have improved.
So, I did move my review from 1 star to 3 stars.
