First visit. Came by about 1pm on a Sunday. Crowded but they had space at the bar. I ordered the Smash Stash with White Cheddar Mac and Cheese. My wife ordered the Shroomer with no bun with a side of Green Beans. My son ordered Pork Chop with White Cheddar Mac and Cheese & Sweet Potato Fries. My burger was a little dry and only warm once it came out. My wife only found 3 mushrooms on her burger. My son had no complaints. For the price it was disappointing. The food was fine at a diner price, but not at an upscale restaurant. Overall, it was fine, but I don’t know that it gets a high recommendation.

Hucks on Maple has a great aesthetic right off the bat. The space feels upscale and polished, very much like a fancy restaurant, which immediately sets your expectations high. Because of that atmosphere, I was honestly a little disappointed there was no complimentary bread like you get at a lot of higher end places. It is a small thing, but it felt noticeable given the vibe they are going for.

We started with the loaded fries appetizer for $14.99. Flavor wise, it was good. The brisket and aioli worked well together, and the sliced jalapeños added heat without overpowering the dish. Unfortunately, the fries themselves did not live up to the rest of the flavors. The choice of fry just did not work for me, and it ended up holding the whole dish back. With a better fry, this could have been really solid.

The seating was another downside. The chairs were uncomfortable, with curved edges that pressed into my kidneys the entire time. It reminded me of sitting in a high school classroom desk rather than relaxing at a restaurant.

I ordered the mac and cheese and felt pretty neutral about it. I was not digging it, but I was not hating it either. It tasted more like Alfredo than traditional mac and cheese, which was not what I was expecting. The shrimp, however, were good and easily the best part of the dish.

Overall, I still had a good experience. The atmosphere is nice, and while a few things missed the mark, it was not enough to turn me off completely. The restrooms are located on the side and not near the Hucks sign, which is good to know. I would return.

Overall, great service — food was OK, and the staff seemed to still be finding their rhythm. I’d give them a few months and visit again; they definitely have potential.
My husband and I visited on a Saturday around 5pm. The restaurant was busy, but we were greeted by friendly staff right away. I’m not a fan of the indoor seating layout–it’s very open, with tables close together, though the bar area looked nice. We chose the patio and were seated in about five minutes.
Our server, Gabby, was fantastic, she was attentive, friendly, and on top of refills. I did notice a few other tables waiting longer for service, but Gabby handled her section beautifully.
For food, I had wings, fries, and a side salad; my husband had the smash burger with sweet potato fries. The medium wings were excellent, and the ranch dressing was thin but flavorful. Unfortunately my fries weren’t hot, but I liked that they were crinkle-cut. Hubby’s burger was an overcooked, though the aioli and pickles were a nice touch.
It felt like the kitchen was a little overwhelmed, but once they find their groove, this place could really shine. We’ll likely try again.

(The photo was taken after I started eating). I heard there was a new place in town that was bringing back a cult classic sandwich from my time in college. We decided to go for dinner Saturday and were impressed that at 7:30 (Bama UGA kickoff) we were able to be seated with ease quickly. We were able to get drink orders in quickly once seated and looked over the menu. We decided on 10 wings, the dirty bird with a side of mac and cheese, and a cocktail. We waited for about an hour to get our food, with no update on when it would come. When the cocktail came out it was borderline undrinkable. There was a definite overpour and even after diluting it with water we did not finish it. When the food came out the sandwich and Mac and cheese were great, but the wings were slightly above room temp. This wasn’t an ideal first impression, but they have a lot of potential to be a great spot to eat. I know they’ve only been open for about a week when we went, so next time I’m in town I’m hoping for a better experience.

First time here and all around outstanding! Greeted at our table by Molly Kate who gave us amazing service. The food was a 10+ pork chop and Ribeye…OMG! Listen to me here, finish the night off with the skillet brownie, you will be glad you did! Huck’s is a great new addition to Carrollton

Huck’s, we are so glad you’re open and welcoming Carrollton into your beautiful establishment! Even though you’ve only been open four days, you’re already putting out great food with a fun twist on American cuisine.
We started with the pretzel appetizer and beer cheese—the pretzel was perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft inside, absolutely delicious! The brisket tacos were a solid 10/10, and the tomato soup might just be the best we’ve ever had.
Be sure to stop by and try them out. Just keep in mind that with a brand-new staff, the kitchen is still getting into its rhythm, so service may take a little longer. If you’re in a hurry, you might want to wait a bit before going—but if you’re ready to relax and enjoy the new space, order an extra drink or two from their beautiful bar while you take it all in!

I have been ripped off by this restaurant twice now. On each occurrence I called and ordered an individual soup to go. They charge $10 for a “cup” of soup that is approximately 6 oz. This is the same cup of soup that they offer as a side item for $3. When I addressed this with the staff and manager, they were completely rude and indifferent. They claimed it is $10 because it was my “entree” and not a side. If that’s the case, shouldn’t the portion for the “entree” be larger than the “side” to justify the price difference?? Seems as though management needs to think this through logically and quit ripping people off. Picture for reference. This is not a $10 soup.

Edited to Respond to Unprofessional Owner:
1. Get some class
2. The fact that you charged me $10 for a thimble of soup isn’t fair either.
3. If the soup is THAT special, charge $50 for it!
4. The tortillas should have been served on the side, they were soggy in my soup and it wasn’t as special as you think.

We’ve tried Huck’s on Maple now about 3-4 times. Each time, the food doesn’t disappoint- we had tried multiple items and have been pleased each time. However, the service doesn’t match the food and atmosphere. There have been different experiences as far as having to ask for refills from OTHER servers, waiting 10+ minutes at the time to be attended to when not busy, and our server literally disappearing for 10-15 minutes after we asked for things. We love their other establishments which is why we continue to support and try Huck’s plus the location compared to their other businesses to where we live is much closer, but moving forward- we’d rather make the extra 15-20 minute drive to ensure we not only receive great food but service, too. I hope they figure out the kinks when it comes to their servers as we’d love to continue to support this establishment but for now, we’ll continue to travel to Brown Dog.

Elizabeth was our server and she was excellent! Service was fast and the food was wonderful. We shared the caesar salad and loaded fries. Left spending less than $30 for two people(water to drink, plus the tip). The loaded fries were so delicious. You get so much food. The atmosphere was laid back and very chill. We will definitely be back!

Had a great experience here! I don’t usually tend to try new restaurants, but I came here after a friend recommended it and had no regrets. I had the “Shroomer” and one of their festive cocktails (I can’t remember which) and both were super tasty. The prices are definitely lower than the value you get, and the service was absolutely world-class! Our server was named Mylah and she was a bona-fide angel! She was super helpful when I was picking out my meal and gave great recommendations. She was so sweet to our group, and she had such a warm smile and kind vibe. I’ll definitely be recommending Huck’s to friends and family, and I can’t wait to come back!
