Another former gem gone down. Place used to have some of the best steak n cheese around. Found out it was under new ownership. I think they cheaped out on ingredients. Steak was tough and the sandwich had no flavor. Same with my wife’s pastrami. I ordered a steak bomb and had to send it back because they just gave me a plain steak n cheese. Sad how many places have gone to hell.

Our subs were good, but pretty small, maybe 5 inches with a minimal amount of filling. Delicous but left us wanting a little more. Outside sitting was basic, but comfortable. Good for a quick bite but if not a local I’d probably hunt for somewhere else.

I have always Enjoyed the food at Hucks Hoagie.
With the prior owner and the new owner. Unfortunately, today getting a small Italian was very disappointing.
Just meat on it, no vegetables, soaked in too much oil and hot peppers. I will certainly come again as I’ve always enjoyed the food there, but I will certainly check it before I take it home with me.

Provided us with cold fries. Requested new ones. They refried the same ones. After which, the nasty lady with red, long hair snapped at me, “ma’am, it’s going to take 15 minutes for new fries.” Wow, great customer service! Then the young gentleman brought me my nicely refried French fries within one minute of my returning them. I’m shocked at the nasty service as well as reusing French fries I had already had at my table. That’s got to be against some health code. Absolutely disgusting as well as just an awful human being. She treated me badly as a customer as well as the young counter person that was working with her. When he went to her with my complaint about the fries, she got all red in the face and snapped, “Do I look like the fry person?” Nasty, nasty human being.

Excited to finally go, wait was long but it was lunch time, so expected for the price of the food it should have been hot it’s slightly warm onion rings and steak subs for it being freshly cooked, i don’t like cold food, although it was cold food, great soft sub roll was delightful even though steak was Luke warm , waiting was long won’t be bragging tho

Nice little surprise sandwich shop near where we stayed. We ordered take out twice. 8 sandwiches between and no complaints. Order taker was pleasant and reasonable wait. We ordered late morning both times on our way to the lake.

Let me tell you that Huck’s makes great sandwiches and subs. But DO NOT sleep on their pizza! Holy moly. It is GOOD. The crust is so delicious and simple and perfect… the toppings are high quality and well portioned. I love their food but I’m obsessed with their pizza.

What happened to Huck’s. You used to be able to get a decent sub there. But over the last year or so I have tried Huck’s several times. Ordering a Salami sub each time. There has been so little meat and cheese on the sandwich that I felt like I had just spent $14 on a loaf of bread.

Whenever we want a quick meal, we call ahead to Huck’s Hoagies and it is always ready when we arrive. The Steak and Cheese hoagies are very good, and the pizzas are good also. Prices are very fair for the quantity of food received. Not fancy, but ample seating for indoor dining.
