As you drive up you smell the undeniable smoke of twin iron wood burning smokers billowing like a great steam engined train. One was ladened with ribs, the other, I am sure, with sausage, pork and turkey, although I was not privy this vist. I was greeted immediately at the door by two servers eager and polite. The former El Charo has been transformed with new furniture and a host of interesting taxidermy on the walls. The owner popped out of the kitchen and chatted with me for a bit before returning to his duties.

I only ordered the sausages (1 hot link & 1 smoked) today. Teresa and I shared them both and they were delicious. They reminded me of the Texas Hill Country sausage I fell in love with when I lived in ATX for more than a decade. The sausage meal was 1 link for $5.49 and 2 for $10. It included a bag of Lays, a slice of pickle, and some smokey bbq sauce.

I highly recommend giving Hucklebuck a try. It is conveniently located right off of I-44 at the 100 exit.

**Update: I had the brisket and wife had the pulled pork sandwhich today. Both were delicious. We dined in and service was great.

Service was disorganized, but the food was good. I never thought Marshfield would have good bbq. Fall off the bone ribs were better than Gates bbq in KC. Brisket was ok. Pulled pork was average. The sauce was sweet and tangy. Overall not bad bbq.

Stopped in Saturday afternoon on a recommendation from a co-worker. So glad we took the drive, best BBQ ribs I’ve had in Missouri…. Fast service and good prices. Cleaned my plate.

Stayed at the Express 66 RV Park next door… had lunch at 44, seated immediately server was efficient and pleasant. Food excellent. Green beans were piping hot and coleslaw was fresh. Negatives – utensil and drinkware both disposable, not acceptable for sit down dining.

Since they are not open on Sundays and Mondays, the Hillbilly decided to grab a Brisket sandwich and go as he was driving by Huckleberry’s.
For a Thursday night, the place was packed, the staff was busy, and the kitchen was hoppin’.. all things you want to see.
My sandwich had great flavor with a small-medium amount of fat. I understand fat is needed to smoke brisket properly. I just wish more restaurants would trim more of it off before serving. But I will say, whoever is smoking the meats at Huckleberry’s knows what they are doing.

We loved the burnt ends here! The food was plentiful (I brought some home!), it was hot, fresh, and dEEEEElicious!!
The service was great and very attentive. We had a great time looking at all the hunting and fishing pictures everywhere!

I ordered the three meat plate. Sausage, pulled pork, brisket, it came with garlic toast, green beans and potato salad. All of the sides were great, possibly the best sides I’ve had at a BBQ place. The meat had a great flavor but was more dry, and the BBQ sauce (a simple option of sweet or spicy) didn’t quite pair with the meat. My final note is that the toast was close to inedible being almost rock hard.

Get the ribs, you won’t be disappointed! Fall off the bone, tender, and perfectly fatty. Bottles of sweet and spicy BBQ at the table. Hard to pick a favorite. Green beans have chunks of smoked brisket. Great service! Will be back next time I’m passing through. 10/10!

Food is not bad, but it’s your standard fast food chain bbq. We got nachos and the cheese was definitely a little weird with what seemed to be stale chips. The pulled pork was good and the special was also really good.

We have ordered take out from here 3 different times now.

The first time was opening night, our order was extremely messed up but they made it right and gave us a gift card(which we totally didnt expect, we expected issues opening night). The food was decent!

The second time, we had a giant order as we had family visiting from out of state who wanted to try local resturants and a couple of side were messed up nothing super bad, baked potatoes instead of potatoe salad, I didnt complain we figured they just heard it wrong over the phone because its so loud inside their building. The food was really good!!! Loaded nachos were AMAZINGGGGG! Ribs were super tender!

Now tonight(a couple months later) we got take out again as another family member is visiting and wanting to try local places. And it was beyond disappointing! Our loaded nachos had barely any toppings, the pork loin dinner was such a small serving, the ribs were tough and burnt, and the smoked chicken sandwich looked like something from the frozen food section in Sams Club. Nothing was too flavorful and our order was missing a side salad.

Maybe its a different experience eating in the resturant itself (maybe I will try it sometime) but definately check your take our order before you leave with it or somebody will be missing part of their meal when you get it home. I gave it a 3 because the workers are always friendly and fast and the food was so tasty the second time we got take out!
