Today’s feature is Huckleberry’s located at 209 N Pecan St. Suite 101.. right next to Babe’s Chicken!
The stacked chicken & waffles was delicious, my husband said his crab cake eggs benedict was also good! The beignets.. those were pretty terrible I asked the server if this was how they were supposed to taste or if something was off and she said something must not be right by how they looked inside & she removed them from our bill.
Service was SPECTACULAR! Shout out to our server Kaitlyn for taking great care of us. They were really busy on the Sunday we went!
Overall this place was good, but VERY pricey for what it is in my opinion. I would much rather eat breakfast from The Porch, Tom’s Burger, Pantego Cafe or Jay Jay Cafe.

Nixon the waiter added real value. I was blown away by what came across as authentic excitement to provide a fun and informed breakfast eating experience. I actually was taken back and just listened with hands behind my head while he diligently went through the menu, his favorites and the specials.

The main coarse was awesome
They are busy and dishes stacked up on our and we had to ask something take them. We did return a few items that was not to our liking and it was not a problem. I think the manager came and talked to us which was a bonus explaining things a the type if food they serve. But, other than that chicken and waffles and the catfish is a definite redo next time.

First time visiting. We came on a Sunday after church. We waited about 30 mins which was ok considering. Everyone was pleasant and welcoming. Kyleigh was our server and she has an amazing spirit ❤️. Very kind hearted and sweet. She offered very good suggestions. I’m from Louisiana and wanted to try this place. It states that it is southern cooking with a California twist. Although the food was very delicious, I’d have to say I tasted more California than anything. Hey, that’s not a bad thing though. I’m always interested in trying different twist on southern style/Cajun styles. Overall, we enjoyed it and we’ll bring the rest of the family. Great food and atmosphere. Thanks again Kyleigh!! Hope you will serve us again.

We enjoyed our first time here! It was nice that there were breakfast and lunch items available, though we will went for lunch. The gumbo was very good and we shared a catfish meal that was also delicious. Service was as little slow but very friendly.

Not a bad brunch option at all. Serving sizes are very big, even the kids meals. The food is great, unless you are hoping for authentic Cajun. The service is where they really shine. Our server Evelyn was nice, fun, fast, attentive, and knowledgeable. We had a party of 6 and waited less than 15 minutes for a table, too.

This is a “Cajun” themed eatery serving breakfast and lunch. I had the Bananas Foster French Toast, with no nuts. It was delicious. The brown sugar glaze wasn’t too sweet. It was just a perfect balance of sweet with the savory from the rest of the meal. The meal is served with 2 eggs cooked to your choosing, fried green tomatoes with a zesty ranch to dip, and bacon, sausage, or ham. The fried green tomatoes were the perfect texture. Not too firm and not too soft. My server was so friendly. Just an over all great experience and delicious brunch.

The presentation was wonderful. The service was great. The food was good but I’m not sure it was my cup of tea. Not too spicy but lots of flavors. Maybe we will go back and try something else because the atmosphere was awesome. We had the Chicken and Waffles and the Catfish Po Boy. Both were good but I think the Chicken and Waffles had way too .ich going on.

Fast, friendly service. The breakfast was delicious and the portion size is large. The decor is perfect for the name of the restaurant. It had a Bayou feel. I can see why it is popular with the locals. If you are in the area, give them a try. Oh and try the sauce. You won’t need to add salt.

Let’s me begin by saying you must try to Huckleberry Beignets! They are much larger than you think, so 1 order is enough to share with 2-3 people. It was good and the toppings they added on the plate was a nice treat, if you wanted to eat with the beignets.
The banana foster French toast tastes great and the sausage platter was great ( egg, sausage links and muffin).
The server River was friendly and the food came out promptly. We would definitely come back to visit again.
