It’s the perfect place to enjoy dinner or a sweet treat after or before visiting Glacier National Park. The burgers and sandwiches are okay but the pie, shakes, and ice cream are top tier at very reasonable prices. They have indoor and outdoor dining as well as a gift shop with similar items as the Glacier National Park gift shops. Overall a nice experience.

Its not bad but they close the kitchen apparently when low on employees. There is a store attached to the resteraunt. We had to grab a piece of pie and ice cream. Huckleberry pie was good, they do use a doughy like crust instead of traditional pie crusts. Kinda like a chicken pot pie dough. Vanilla ice cream, not good but Huckleberry Good.

We absolutely enjoyed our stop here before heading to our camping spot. The food was delicious. Service was fast, the entire establishment was clean and our boys enjoyed walking through the gift shop.

My favorite things were the Huckleberry Lemonade and the Huckleberry Turnover.

My one son had the BLT sandwich and loved it, my other son had bone in wings, he didn’t particularly like those, my husband ate the Elk Patches Burger and I had a sandwich that was like a french toast Ham and Cheese Sandwich, it was so good!

We went in with high hopes—especially after seeing so many glowing reviews—but unfortunately, the experience didn’t measure up. We should’ve known it was a red flag when we were told that all burgers had to be cooked medium-well to well done. If that’s the only option, you’re almost guaranteed a dry burger.

We ordered two: one beef and one elk. Both were, unsurprisingly, overcooked and dry. We also tried the Glacier dip sandwich and chicken strips. The dip was dry as well, though the au jus helped mask it a bit. The chicken strips were exactly what you’d expect from a freezer bag—basic and forgettable.

The sides didn’t help much. The fries were bland and lacked any crunch, the onion rings were overcooked, and the macaroni salad was flavorless.

Dessert was the one bright spot. We had the death by chocolate and huckleberry ice cream—both decent, not amazing, but satisfying. We also grabbed a huckleberry puff and huckleberry turnover to-go, and those were actually good. Being big blueberry fans, we had high hopes for our first huckleberry experience, and thankfully, those treats delivered.

5 Stars – A Must-Visit Gem!

The Huckleberry Patch exceeded all expectations! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. The prices were more than fair—especially considering the quality and portion sizes.

The dining experience itself was exceptional. Everything tasted homemade and fresh, with just the right balance of comfort and creativity. Our favorites? Hands down the Huckleberry Shake (absolutely addictive!) and the Montecristo—perfectly crisp, flavorful, and satisfying.

If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. This place truly knows how to treat its guests right!

This became a regular stop for us as we left Glacier National Park each day. We especially loved the Glacier Dip sandwich… great flavor combination. The huckleberry pie and garlic cheese curds were also delicious.

Little stop on the Highway in Hungry Horse, Montana. Restaurant with store attached. Stand in line and order food .. then find a table.
Fresh beef patties .. nothing tastes like good Montana beef. The Alpine Cristo is a Monte Cristo but with French Toast and served with huckleberry preserves. Seasoned Fries are delicious.
Definitely worth your time and money.

Read a lot of positive reviews thus wanted to give it a try.
When we entered there were no free tables thus didn’t eat the food but still wanted to try something just coz of great reviews.
Ordered the huckleberry ice-cream and huckleberry lemon.
I was amazed to see the quantity of ice cream served for the price. Other places would serve half the quantity for the price. The huckleberry lemonade was also good.
Coming to service- it was bad but it’s understandable as it was really busy.
Overall a good experience and would recommend.

No real huckleberries in pie. Wild blueberries from different state. Huckleberries don’t come that tiny and uniform in size and no flavor. Pie crust was im not sure what. Thick like the top of a chicken pot pie. Not flaky. Rate a 2 out of 10 maybe. Thats generous for sugar content friend had hamburger a 6 out of 10. Onion ring were a 8 out of 10.
