Tried the pork belly sliders, tots, fish n chips, and wings.
Menu is a lot of fried bar food. But they did have salads on the menu that sounded good. Ok for a quick bite.
Affordable menu items compliment an underrated bar.
Check it out!
I went with the blackened chicken sandwich and the NOCO fries (malt vinger and Cajun spices). Wow – flavor explosion! Felt like this meal was slapping me in the face it had so much zing to the taste!
There was ample seating and not crowded on the Monday evening I went to meet up with a couple friends. The service was a little on the slow side but not terribly so. This is definitely a place worth coming back to and maybe even hosting some groups at!
We tried the:
Jalapeno poppers – excellent, lots of cream cheese and good bite. these are like the ones that Krazy Karl’s used to have before they changed their recipe.
Cheese curds – I’m originally from WI and these pass the battered curd test, especially with the house zesty ranch sauce.
Pork belly bites – these are perfect for sharing as really you only want a couple of these they are so rich. You can get any sauce for them, we went with the Japanese sauce and it was perfect.
Green chile sliders – chicken patty was a surprise, thought it would be more like a solid cut of chicken breast, but it was good. Not very spicy, good flavor though.
Tasty tacos – these were awesome comfort food, the tortilla is fried before the taco is filled so at first I thought it would be like a chalupa but actually it’s very similar to an “Indian taco” as found commonly in the Upper Midwest!! It’s not exactly the same as Native American fry bread (obviously), but so close even in texture that it brought me back to when I used to get Indian tacos from the Native American tribal hall back in WI. I will definitely be back for these!
Bonus – fries came with the sliders and pork belly bites, and these were excellent even plain without sauce. Good crunch and texture, great flavor.
Dessert we shared the Fried horchata bites and wow! Stand out for sure, amazing flavors and textures. Like a cross between fried ice cream and churros but with extra creamy filling. I want more of this even though I’m completely full right now
The 4-H Fair Spritzer was delicious (as a former 4-H member who showed at the fair, I applaud the name!) and my friend really enjoyed the Gummy Bear cocktail too. Do wish there were more beers on tap, but perhaps more will come later.
A smidge on the pricey side if you’re eating alone as it’s basically all ala carte plates for you then and that adds up if you want to try more than one thing – but it’s ok if you are coming as a group, the servings are decent for sharing the small plates around the table.
Service was excellent, well done team. We’ll be back to try more of the menu!
It is a great location, good price, and very accommodating. It is definitely worth a look.
