Charming Breakfast Spot in Grandview ☕
Just grabbed breakfast at Housewife Café & Bistro in Grandview with the kids, and everything was fresh and delicious!
We ordered the Avocado Toast (the pickled onions perfectly balanced the spicy red sauce spread), the Croissant Breakfast Sandwich which was flaky and succulent, and the Bacon Gouda sandwich — absolutely amazing.
For pastries, we had a chocolate ganache–filled croissant, a coconut macaroon, and a carrot cake scone. The scone was surprisingly moist — not dry like most scones — and every bite was flavorful.
My matcha latte with oat milk was thick, rich, and incredibly satisfying. The portions were generous and filling, and the whole experience felt warm and homey.
According to their page, this casual bakery café serves fresh-baked breads, pastries, breakfast staples, sandwiches, and light lunch fare — and they truly deliver on that promise.

Very nice establishment! Great visually appealing place and the selection is great. Their Bacon Gouda sandwich is superbly delicious! Tasted my wife’s white chicken chili and it was heavenly as well. Can’t wait to go again!

First time here, will probably never go again. Very disappointing because the coffee was great, The service was terrible. Definitely a cute café, with a good aesthetic, pastries, and food looked good as well, although I did not try anything but coffee.
Waited in line for awhile, but they were busy, so understandable… I don’t understand why the girl at the register decided to package up the gentleman in front of me, food, pastries, and put the lid on his coffee at the register while people are waiting in line. when there is clearly a pick up counter off to the side out of the way.. Kind of counterproductive..

The girls behind the counter were very friendly and nice to everyone in line until it was my turn. The mood‘s slightly shifted for some odd reason, I was in sweatpants a hoodie, just woke up, but it shouldn’t matter what I’m wearing how I’m treated..
I asked how many shots comes in a medium, she said 2, I said OK I will have a medium caramel latte with an extra shot and oat milk. She corrected the way I said car-mel, car-a-mel, unnecessary but OK..
And rang up the drink. I looked at the register and it said *add double shot. I said ‘hold on. I just want one extra shot, I don’t need 2.’ She barely let me finish talking to say ‘yes it comes with 2 shots’ I said ‘ I just need one extra shot’ the girl behind her butted in also with an attitude, and said ‘our machine queue up two shots at a time, so what do you want 1 or 2’ I said ‘it’s OK 2 is fine…’
The girl turned back, didn’t say anything to me just stood there waited for me to pay so I paid and I did not tip. she noticed no tip, grabbed the cup turn around, hand it to somebody and turned back to me still said nothing, so I said ‘thank you’. She said ‘you’re welcome.’ The other girl said ‘here’ and set my latte on the pick up counter and turned away, I said ‘OK thank you..’
Got halfway home tasted it there’s no caramel…
So I turned around go back, go to the pick up counter said ‘hey excuse me I think you guys forgot the caramel in my latte’
The girl just stared at me..
So I said ‘ I was just here like five minutes ago, and there’s no caramel in my drink’ She said ‘oh, okay’ I said, ‘can you just add it to this drink?’ I took the lid off and handed her the cup. She looked annoyed, put two pumps of caramel in, asked if I wanted it stirred, I said ‘yes if you don’t mind’ she stirred it and said sorry about that. I said ‘ it’s okay, no worries. Thank you.’
The whole point here is these girls were very rude to me. They had attitude. They rolled their eyes, They damn near cut me off mid sentence when I was trying to speak and ask questions about a latte that cost $11. They did not give the same type of attitude to the people in front of me that spent about 10 minutes at the register, asking questions about every drink on the damn menu.
I have a strong feeling it’s because the way I was dressed, how I looked, and that I did not tip.
I AM NOT ENTITLED TO TIP SOMEBODY WHO MAKES MINIMUM WAGE OR MORE JUST FOR DOING THEIR JOB.
I’M ENTITLED TO DRESS HOWEVER I WOULD LIKE AND GO WHEREVER I WANT AND BE TREATED THE SAME WAY EVERYBODY ELSE IS.
Definitely won’t be going back or recommending this place.

LOVE this place! They make a pretty good oat milk latte and offer a great selection of yummy food for breakfast and lunch. They have avocado toast for the plant-based, smoked salmon toast for the pescaterian, and bacon and sausage for the meat-eaters in your life They have 2 levels of indoor seating and a very nice outdoor seating area right on Main Street.

Me and my husband were going to the Dmv on a Saturday and it was the only one open so it was definitely going to be a long day so we decided to get breakfast while we wait. we goggled some places stumbled across this place which was down the street from the dmv, I must say the atmosphere was great and the customer service was excellent, we both ordered the Bacon Gouda bf sandwich mine was on ciabatta bread and mine husband’s was on sourdough bread it was delicious packed with flavor and the fresh arugula and garlic aioli was good. I would definitely come back but this time dine in.

Housewife is absolutely incredible. Has been both before and after owner change. A few things on the menu have changed a bit but I got on here to say that their new chia seed pudding with berry compote is literal heaven! Do not forget to check this menu item out!!

I come in here about once a month (wish I had the time to come more!) and the service is always wonderful. I always get the drink special and have NEVER been disappointed! Espresso is A+. Don’t even get me started on the croissants! You take a bite and there’s nothing but picture perfect flaky goodness. I can’t decide my favorite between the almond croissant & the chocolate ganache filled croissant. They are both a SMASH hit! Biscuits & gravy are phenomenal. I love it here! Perfect addition to Grandview.
