I’ve grown up coming here with my Marion family when I’m in town to visit. It’s one on my favorite memories with them and the food is always delicious. I’m vegetarian now but they offer tofu and everything thing is just as good as it was when I was a kid. Hunan tofu is my new favorite but chikken fried rice, wonton soup, and an egg roll were my classic favorites. I highly suggest checking out this old gem when you are needing Asian cuisine.

I was afraid to eat Chinese food down here being from Cleveland and eating the best up there but this place I order my usual Wonton Soup and 3 egg rolls on text and my boyfriend brought it home from shopping and the Soup was still warm and those egg rolls I can honestly say I can not wait to drive 30 minutes to eat there again or have my boyfriend bring it home to me.
This place contends with the big Chinese restaurants up North.
Thank you for being here, I appreciate you and your soup while I’m sick and my boyfriend lived the egg rolls(I did steal a bite of it )
So good

First off I’m not used to fancy Chinese. I thought this was going to be like normal Chinese from my small town go to. We started with grab ragoons. They were very creamy. But not sweet like the ones I like. The sauce actually came on my chicken. Which I was not used to and the general tsos sauce was very spicy. The rice was plain fried rice with no veggies. A little hard. Over all it was too fancy for me. U just gotta try it for yourself. I didn’t particularly like it. But you might.

We’ve been coming to House of Hunan for over 20 years and are so glad to know that they are back open after covid. Note that they have limited hours, dinner doesn’t open until 5pm now, (there’s a line up to get in at 5) and I think the lunch time serving is curbside only. Call first as this may change from time to time. The dining room is large and can accommodate families of 8-10 pretty easily, but also has booths around the perimeter for the smaller more intimate dining experience. The staff is always friendly and professional, with quick service, little wait time after placing your order. My favorite dish has always been General Tso’s Chicken , and although my dish tonight was a bit chewy (not tender like I’m used to) I did not send it back. I’ll give them another try. I really don’t think it was the chicken, but it seemed more like it was the batter surrounding the chicken, maybe it stayed in the wok a little too long? Don’t be afraid to go and give them a chance to make a good returning customer of you too!

Pleasantly surprised!!!
My fiance had mentioned quite a while back that he liked this place but it doesn’t look like much from the outside so hadn’t really ever thought much about visiting here.
Decided upon this place at the recommendation of my mother in law after remembering my finance having previously stated liking the place and then looking up some reviews!
The inside is a little dated but not horrible. There was a ton of staff on this day, which was surprising for an early afternoon. It wasn’t too crazy busy but also definitely seemed like a staple place for the area based on the steady traffic.
The food prices weren’t bad at all and portions are really good!
Service was very timely and friendly!
Will definitely be back to this place!!!

Ate here many times with no issues and we take all our friends. Nice place with very friendly and helpful staff. Food has been great and restaurant very clean with no sticky tables! They will customize any of their dishes to suit your tastes or needs, just ask. My favorite is the Kung Pao Chicken with added veggies. Favorite appetizer is Minced Chicken lettuce wraps.

Server just completely got up and left. Had to wait to have the server get ready?? Only 7 employees and tons of empty tables btw. Only had one drink and no refills. Hostess acted like she had no clue what she was doing it was really irritating.. Left cell phone accidentally and there was no way to call them to retrieve the phone because the phones where shut down because they close at 2 pm. Drove all the way to the house of hunan for no one to be inside to get the phone because they open back up at 5 pm.

Food was good. Good proportions. Menu has been reduced compared to what they used to have. Very weird hours of operation. Staff are friendly.
